Phil Oakley talks for c.15 minutes about the RNS in this week's IC Alpha Podcast. Spoiler: he's still very bullish....pre-tax profit of £165m and 407p for FY21 should be comfortably achieved.

Definitely worth a listen.

i have commented regularly elsewhere that share price moves unpredictably and in large chunks ..... it was one of the reasons i did not invest for ages and ages .... that i do not understand the fascination of these figurines etc was another, but ours not to reason why .... at the end of the day, there can be no denying that the company is (now) very well run, clearly knows its market and treats its investors very fairly with its divis

Reread the RNS. There is no forthcoming 80p dividend.

After significant growth during the 1980s, founders Ian Livingston and Steve Jackson sold their shareholdings for 10 million GBP. That was 29 years ago.New owners included Tom Kirby, who refocused the business towards a younger market.Ian Livingston often says, 'most boys love painting toy soldiers.' He describes the business model as simple and enduring.During the 1950s I spent many hours painting plastic toy soldiers, tanks and guns. By the early 1960s, I had graduated to painting and assembling more complex Airfix models.Sixty years on, boys today are following a path much the same as I did, and they will be in another sixty years.Ramblings of an old man. LOL

Agree on the App. On Play Store the average score is 1.9 based on over 5,600 reviews with over half of all reviews providing a 1 star rating. Though I note one recent reviewer says that "the App has become so much better since its initial debut". Most negative comments appear to be relate to regular crashing, not particularly mobile friendly and high cost.

Nice to see the market seeing sense again here today. Hopefully they can sort the app out and this can add to the revenue stream. Just taking a look on the IOS App Store and it has some very scathing reviews. 1.8/5 from nearly 500 reviews.

I am sure the EPS will be £4.00 plus and but with the number of moving parts, even the company probably has little clue where the year will end up. Three of the last four years, H2 has been stronger than H1, the exception being caused by the pandemic. So, I am hopeful we will see EPS of £4.50 but none too sure about that.

I appreciate that is of little help, especially as I have no in-depth knowledge of the products being sold by GAW.

As you may know, I've been optimistic over the past year that the release of the two TV series will give GAW sales a boost by reaching new recruits. It looks like Eisenhorn is close to ready, and the outlet is yet to be selected."Our development work on a TV series, based on the Eisenhorn series of novels, continues with the appointment of industry agency representation to help us place the project."

FWVLIW on the broker forecast front, the consensus EPS for the current year has increased from 339.55p to 344.577p. The forecast for next year has increased nearly 5p to 368.54p to 373.188p.

Obviously all four numbers are complete rubbush.
