My TA support levels are 9450 and 8570.
I have now finished accumulating this cycle between 9800 and 9900.
One year TP about 12800.
Good luck.

If you think you can see a good level to buy it will likely turn before that point... rarely do things wok out as planned!

Anyone think we could see 8500p?

Just bought another 12 shares. Anyone got thoughts on where this is likely to fall back to. Personally planning to buy as the price drops, if it does pull back any further. But helps to know where others think the bottom line is

Didn't think we would get to these levels but delighted to top up and increase my stake by 25%.

Dont buy the fact that lockdown has helped that much, the business was on a huge trajectory before this anyway.

Thought they have been selling products in Walmart since 2016/17?

I think we all feel the same way - at the moment the dash for trash on a potentially inflationary rebound is strong. (so perhaps its not trash anymore!)

This is one of my larger holdings. I wasn't going to increase but at these prices I am going to top up. I feel confident that in a years time I will look back and realise how cheap they are.

Following on from last post, this text is extracted from a job advert in Aug 2019:

"Do you want to help Games Workshop deliver its worlds into the stores of the biggest retailers globally? Are you excited by the challenge of working with the world’s largest specialist retailers, placing our specially designed products into thousands of stores and crucially obtaining the best commercial deals available?

You will be responsible for creating, developing and maintaining Games Workshops commercial relations with large multiple retailers and distributors, particularly for our purposely designed broad appeal products.

This job is international, but primarily focused on the North American market."

Re:Walmart, GAW have been placing 'introductory' products (simple boxed games, aimed at newcomers to the hobby) at more mainstream retailers over the last year or two (e.g. Target, Barnes and Noble) and they had a job advert a while back where making more of these deals with 'national retailers' was one of the goals - so it sounds plausible.

I wouldn't have thought it would make much difference in the short term to the bottom line - but it is presumably still positive otherwise the management wouldn't be doing it.

I don't often visit LSE website but on the GAW board over there someone has mentioned a potential tie up with walmart (seemingly works in the industry) - tie up as in selling in their stores... be interesting to see if this comes to anything - obviously its just rumour off a bb from an unknown poster but equally I can't see any reason to make stuff up. you can buy it through their website unsurprisingly.

Im definitely getting more of this share at the price. I am involved in the games workshop hobby and this year I am 100% certain they will nake record profits for the following reasons:
1 They have just released 9th edition for the 40k game. That means sales will fly with the new rules.
2. The Indomitus box set sold out within 15 minutes online. Thats how global it is and its priced at £120 a box.
3. The new contrast paint range everyone is loving.
4. So many new models for their poster space marines. Other races getting lots of new updates too.
5. They also have a huge online presence. Marketing rights from games and ebooks etc. Their books sell quite well. They also have a new app that will give them steady subscription income with the rules to play and an army builder.

I can go on but I totally trust the direction and amount of new stuff coming out to justify the share price. It is definitely not just a COVID stock, its earnings will be better without COVID as its stopping the major tournaments players participate which makes them want to buy more and improve their armies etc...market perception is that it is a COVID stock unless you are in the hobby!!

Here is the concentrated ownership of GAW by funds in October. According to the Morningstar data, no funds have very sizeable holdings near the 10% threshold other than the Sanford DeLand Buffettology fund:

Buffettology fund has been offloading in order to comply with fund rules.
The Oct newsletter mentions they sold £3m and in the Nov newsletter they said they sold a further £10m - extract below:-

“We were again a reluctant seller of £10m of Games Workshop shares in order to remain compliant with the governing UCITS rules of the Fund, as the relative strength of the company's share price kept pushing the weighting of our holding towards the 10% proscribed threshold.”

Guess other funds may be in a similar position?.

GAW is relatively low risk compared with most investments. Sure, you could rotate your GAW profits to a depressed sector, such as airlines or travel.
