25/7/2018 09:53 | Can I ask where you acquired this information as I cannot find it, thanks | 1teepee
25/7/2018 08:30 | Anyone know when the financial report is due? | 1teepee
24/7/2018 13:42 | That's not comparing like with like. The 4 pages of the original core rules have been replaced with 20 pages but the new edition rules have far more photos & artwork so I'd suggest 4 pages replaced with 12 pages effectively. The 320 page Core Book they refer to contains all sorts of other stuff. | cockerhoop
24/7/2018 13:11 | That lengthy PCgamer review I posted recently said the original AoS rule book was 4 pages, whereas the latest book is 320 pages. This was hopefully a very clever strategy. | nod
24/7/2018 09:41 | Had an interesting hour in my local store on Sunday. Ended up watching a game between the store manager & a customer (who I think plays tournaments, so experienced gamer). The customer had already assembled a 2000 pt NightHaunt army and an exceptional grasp of the rules (at least it appeared that way to me). Anyway until Edition 2 had come out he had been disinterested in AoS and was very positive regards the new rules etc. Which I found encouraging regards AoS Edition 2 prospects. Further unrelated scuttlebut suggests that the AoS Soul Wars starter set has been selling well - still selling out mid week in online stores, perhaps the Malign Sourcery set less so but it's a pretty small sample so wouldn't read too much into it either way. | cockerhoop
22/7/2018 11:50 | 40k is still selling and AoS seems to be gaining respect. Add them together and hopefully Q1 sales will not be too far short of last year. I accidentally clicked on the flag counter in the header and find it gives a bit more information on the board visitors. Welcome to our visitor from the Seychelles ... Seychelles is a beautiful place - went there for my honeymoon hundreds of years ago. | nod
22/7/2018 10:27 | Q1 comparables will indeed be very interesting. The sales profile of the 2nd Ed of AoS is slightly later in the financial year than 40k was last year with pre-orders starting on 16th June. Certainly forex rates have turned favourable again and US RRP's convert back to UK prices at an exchange rate of £/$ of 1.66!!! | cockerhoop
22/7/2018 00:30 | Full Year results due in 10 days on Tuesday 31st. Last year we also got a trading update following results. The Full Report gives us heaps of information about sales growth in each region. I'm especially eager to see how US sales did.Peel Hunt's underweight forecasts gave the reasons of currency headwinds plus a lower Quarter 1 forecast comparison due to WH 8th Edition sales in Q1 last year. Sales began on 3rd June 2017 (pre-orders). USD has been rising which is good for GAW. We will not know full Q1 comparisons for a while but we should get a trading update and some forward looking statements from GAW. | nod
20/7/2018 18:22 | I bought into these as I fancied them for a long time but did not have the cash at the time to get in what are your thoughts were this is heading price wise? | red5
19/7/2018 10:38 | A few good news items to help GAW sentiment. USD has gone up against GBP. Strongest UK retail sales growth for 14 years in June quarter. We tend to take a hit when uk retail sales are down. So figures are a relief. | nod
17/7/2018 00:08 | Urgh, it is completely true they have been backtested, you are so ignorant it's actually funny. You could google the person I named in the chart as a reference, he has a free site for you to learn from. He has made a lot more money than you I'm sure.Just because you don't understand it/can't be bothered to learn, doesn't mean it's rubbish. Bad TA, like anything, is not worth much, however hopefully I've provided a clear method of what i was thinking and why, and it followed through. Just like 66% of the time that pattern will. Why is it more harmful than someone posting 'this will rocket after good results, they have a great PE and profits are up'?Charts tell the story of the emotion and mentality of buyers and sellers, which is what moves price. If you don't use them to time your entires and exits you are at a disadvantage. | chrisatom
16/7/2018 21:40 | hxxps://uk.tradingvi Nod and anyone else who's interested, please see the linked chart to explain how I got the targets mentioned. I've included some detail and explanation as there were some questions about triangles previously. Symmetrical triangles usually continue the trend and it did just that. Hopefully this is the start of another wave up. The triangle would have served as an entry if you wanted to add or get in, however if you're just holding it serves as information that the trend is still intact. These patterns are backtested over many thousands of cases and stats produced as to their reliability, once you learn them they are powerful tools. Therefore, i'm not interested in any snide remarks about TA etc that happened previously, I just want to add some value to the bb. Cheers | chrisatom
16/7/2018 13:06 | Hi Nod, The triangle is pretty much served it's purpose, £32 was the minimum target and I did mention £35 with a weekly close above 32 but that's ambitious. However, we can now move onto other analysis. We know we have the whole 20-25 area as strong support and I remain bullish above this. I'll stick up a chart later when I'm back in the office. | chrisatom
16/7/2018 07:32 | Chrisatom, good call 7 weeks ago. would you remind me what the next triangle target predicted? | nod
15/7/2018 17:41 | So, 45 day's after we broke out of the triangle on high volume, we have hit £32, the initial target. What's better is we closed the week above it. | chrisatom
15/7/2018 12:28 | Monopoly next | nod
14/7/2018 03:37 | If you are like me - an investor rather than a customer - this is an encouraging write up of the new Age of Sigmar. It's a lengthy review, so I have only pasted below the author's conclusion (spoiler warning). Age of Sigmar second edition brings Warhammer close to its former glory "It's a good time to be an Age of Sigmar player. The Mortal Realms are starting to form into a more serious setting, the books are getting bigger and better, and there are still huge chunks of the range waiting to get an Age of Sigmar refresh. It still can't match the history and dense charactisation of the armies of the old world, but that takes time, and the game is on a good trajectory." | nod
13/7/2018 17:16 | Same here - trying to apply concept of contracting price/volume together with a breakout... | chartsworth
13/7/2018 17:09 | Seems you have swallowed a Thesaurus there Rhom, glad you've got it off your chest tho and fwiw, I agree. On the plus side, GAW has been doing quite well this week. | crazycoops |
