07/6/2018 12:05 | There are some similarities to lego on the hobby side. Both are very expensive pieces of plastic; both are assembly products but still allow for creativity; both require concentration and patience. The painting side to Warhammer is a difference. People spend days painting figures and terrain. 58 or so years ago I would spend days/weeks painting and assembling models of planes and ships. Every birthday and Christmas I would get new models. That intense hobby thing is still present with GAW products. | nod
07/6/2018 02:16 | The coming trading update will be very important. Any hint of slowing sales could hit us hard. The shorters will have their finger hovering over the sell button. | nod
06/6/2018 19:22 | Good luck rachael, personally think at least £31.50 (or £34 at top end) is possible. | discodave4
06/6/2018 13:29 | Rachael,Can I ask on what specific metric you consider #GAW fully valued? | cockerhoop
06/6/2018 13:08 | Sorry to see you leave, Rachael. I hope you are not Rachel the Finance Director. | nod
06/6/2018 12:50 | i have just sold the last of my holding in advance of results - already feeling uneasy about not holding anymore but I had set my price target at 3050 as being fully valued. I cant recall the last time the board disappointed on results so good luck to those that hold strong. | rachael777
06/6/2018 12:37 | Yes, interesting. Obviously push fit removes some flexibility in terms of weaponry etc options for model construction so won't be suitable for all models. | cockerhoop
06/6/2018 11:46 | There seems to be a leaning towards new players in no glue, simple rules and quick to table. The veterans of 18-months may not like that. I wonder if the higher manufacturing volumes would now enable two editions of a model, to satisfy both hobbyist and newbie. | nod
06/6/2018 10:59 | Soul Wars looks absolutely fantastic. Also, push-fit will probably help with pushing for the younger and Far Eastern markets. | santr0
06/6/2018 10:05 | Soul Wars looks a great new game with some fantastic looking new models. A new innovation too with 'push-fit'. I am not a gamer myself but it feels like the standards and quality are getting higher and higher. | cfro
06/6/2018 07:59 | Nod, Pace of release is relentless. It's pushfit! Is this a first for a full game to be non-glue? I chatted to Kevin at the Agm regards this but understood it was for a push to the Far East, seems to be more extensive than that. | cockerhoop
06/6/2018 06:32 | Soul Wars AnnouncedThe day has finally come. With the new edition almost upon us, we can reveal the culmination of Nagash's great work and the beginning of a new chapter for Warhammer Age of Sigmar SOUL WARS.https://www.war | nod
05/6/2018 07:43 | Posted on Twitter by Condorito (@Arquitect3) "The Warhammer License (Again) - Did Games Workshop's Gamble Work? - Extra Credits" Quite interesting info entertainingly presented. Cheers, Martin | shanklin
02/6/2018 09:40 | Thanks Nod for the explanation, makes more sense now.DD | discodave4
01/6/2018 23:55 | Dave, if sales are flat (as they can be at times) then FX variations of 5% or 10% can be quite significant on comparable profits. When sales go up 50% or 75% (as they did for NA in H1) then a USD variation of 5-10% is less impactful. It's still important to consider the Fx trends though as it may impact future comparable profits as sales growth slows.Companies are obliged to report the FX risks, so their investors understand the possible impact of variations either way. I'm a GBP bear and USD bull today, so this influences my decisions. | nod
01/6/2018 22:47 | Hi Nod,Thanks, don't disagree but the company itself has stated numerous times that a weaker sterling impacts positively on revenue and profits - the other 55% I guess!. Given they generally say very little in their trading updates, I have assumed, rightly or wrongly, that the fx impact is something that could be quite significant.DD | discodave4
01/6/2018 14:38 | Ok, let's not hijack a good thread with opinions about TA, each to his own. It's all probabilities anyway, I know that this pattern/formation has a 67% chance of reaching £32 minimum, buyers and sellers move share price, not staff. | chrisatom
01/6/2018 12:44 | No Christa - the value of a company has nothing to do with how hard the people work, it's all to do with the triangles you draw with your pack of crayons. | trident5
01/6/2018 12:31 | Lol, share price is determined by how hard people work....nice one. | chrisatom
01/6/2018 12:12 | Have to say as a non chartists the rise on heavy volume looks good to me. | allstar4eva
01/6/2018 10:48 | It's the load of b.....s triangle. | trident5
01/6/2018 10:48 | It's the load of b.....s triangle. | trident5
01/6/2018 10:44 | What triangle are you guys talking about? I am not a pro investor so I guess this is some kind of technique that I never heard about. | santr0 |
