Good set of first results with a new start. Glad to hear they are now working on a minimum 2% margin, let’s hope they stick to that. Cash in the bank, no debt and no pension liabilities and a full order book with plenty of future business on the horizon, so what’s not to like?

My loss ob TW is 25% greater than the Divis I'll get this year, as for Lloyds that just a basket case, IG I'm ok with and a couple of smaller holdings.

Overall 18% down on the total holding

Not at all. I've been using keyboards for around 30 years and still just use 2 fingers.

I'm about 20% down in 3 weeks but still confident its short term, re UK builders.

I use two fingers for typing, possibly beats the one finger your sticking up at my comment :)

I could do with a big win from tomorrows results, my current losses are abysmal with a capital A !

Budget snippets:
---------------------------

New housing spending confirmed
Flood defences 120m
*More than £600bn is set to be spent on roads, rail, broadband and housing by the middle of 2025
*Ministers say this represents the largest capital investment in infrastructure for generations
----------------------------------------

gbh2...I think I started typing at the same time, but I type slower. ;-)

I was trying to find verification of this BBC live snippet with a higher number quoted...but I guess it depends what you group together under infrastructure.

-------------
Laura Kuenssberg
Total infrastructure extra spend is 175 billion over parliament compared to what was planned before the election - as we reported last night it's a generational change in level of spending on public infrastructure
---------------

NO doubt GFRD BOD are quickly retyping their outlook for tomorrows interim to reflect the budget.

gbh2..I was just about to say what you've just said ;-)
We've been waiting for GFRD news as to their sole go it alone intentions, and how to use cash, since the split was anounced.
Waiting until March for news seemed like a long time, but here we are.
They should have made an rns before now on their new imperative, even if only to say nowt changed re running of co.

So much has changed in the sector, post-brexit, election, HS2 and new gov spending on infrastructure, post brexit private sector projects.

Wait for Thurs now.

Whats that? CV?
...I left school at 18 then...
I'll get me coat. ;-)

Hi all,

My mate Peter @Conkers3 and myself recently recorded a Podcast in which we discussed GFRD and lots of other stuff. The link below takes you to the Podcast on Soundcloud but you can also find it under the ‘Conkers Corner’ Channel on the Apple and Audioboom platforms and you want Number 17.

I hope you like it, regards WD.
