09/10/2017 18:22 | good update, m4ybe | ashehzi
09/10/2017 18:10 | Yes Mark4231 I think that's the ED business model to upsell Horizons to a wider audience, and to make it pretty much essential. Their audience is never easy (ideas are cheap, delivering is harder than most expect), but the google trend for ED is long term stable, quite an achievement as many would have expected the game to fade. I think in time they will learn to monitise it better, which has been difficult as many contributed to the kickstarter and won't want to be nickel and dimed thereafter. Once the vast majority of players are Steam buyers it will become a lot easier. What I have seen of the ED comment sections is a big improvement a couple of months ago once the recent updates started coming out. I expect they are doing the reveals intentionally to get feedback on the proposals so they optimise what they can, especially JWE hopes, into the actual games. | m4ybe
09/10/2017 14:15 | The price does seem to fluctuate a lot on low volumes. Exploring the Frontier forum there seems to be mixed reactions to the Expo and the resulting information. Some people loved it and some people not so much, with their expectation having been higher for the reveals and therefore some moans. However, if people are moaning then at least they care. It's when people don't care that there is really a problem. Anyway, for me, the information revealed over the weekend was nothing unexpected but confirms that Frontier Developments have a very bright and exciting future ahead. Jurassic World Evolution looks great and I'm optimistic of a blockbuster for that. Elite: Dangerous and Planet Coaster continue to be developed with Planet Coaster consistently in the Steam Top 50 sellers and Elite: Dangerous in the top 100 despite many newer and also discounted titles around. I'm interested by Horizons development continuing for at least another year as I was perhaps expecting a new Elite: Dangerous release sooner. How will this help the revenue stream - will there be a push to get more people with just the base game to upgrade to Horizons? | mark4231
09/10/2017 13:19 | I tried to re-enter at 955 but couldn't. Ended up at 980 again (could've got at 960 easily). | ashehzi
09/10/2017 13:11 | Been opening really strong for the last week and drops around lunch time | rjetrades
09/10/2017 13:04 | I am guessing the placing stock is still sloshing around depressing the price... | allstar4eva
09/10/2017 09:45 | surprised not to see the price higher after seeing the in game footage. left a buy in at 930p incase an even better opportunity presents itself. if frontier make the jurassic evolution game as expansive and good looking as elite & dangerous (judging by you tube vid's) it will be a block buster imo. Even i'll buy it, and I haven't purchased a game since fifa 15! | nimbo1
09/10/2017 08:17 | Good posts guys, can't wait for the launch of the JW franchise. In the meantime good to see the other games having new content added. Very optimistic here, it feels like we are at the start of a journey. | mad foetus

08/10/2017 16:26 | Nice Apple style product announcement event, sold out weeks ahead with some premium ticket prices too. Even Apple dare not charge for an open access event, they invite a safe audience. | m4ybe

07/10/2017 23:23 | Dr Grant:"Mr. Hammond, after careful consideration of your game footage I've decided&nb | commander t
07/10/2017 23:09 | Ignoring the "realism" from a scientific point of view, and that the film series should have been called Cretaceous Park, that in game footage is amazing. | hpcg
07/10/2017 22:50 | I wouldnt worry about the game specs. Most PCs even 10 year old ones can run GTA5 on low settings and it looks OK. People are willing to spend money on computers and tech these days. NVIDIA that make graphics cards, its stock price is soaring. The market cap is over $100bn right now. | commander t
07/10/2017 22:31 | Great footage! I'm blown away by the detail. "Spared no expense." | commander t
07/10/2017 19:47 | I think it would be very hard for anyone interested in simulation games not to buy this. | m4ybe
07/10/2017 19:27 | some nice dinosaur footage here | nimbo1
07/10/2017 19:25 | Watched the reveals today on the YouTube livestream. The main surprise is the realism of the actual in game graphics and animations for the dinosaurs in JWE. Very impressive and super high detailed, just hope they don't need high spec computers reducing audience as with PC. There are bound to be YouTubes of this going around soon. PC: Major gameplay (scenario designer) update, allowing people to create more different or difficult business environments, and also some more minor stuff like water rides and facilities. The business model for ED seems to be that all the new stuff will be for Horizons Pack owners only, so they might push more people to buy that second product. Big release for this Q1 (after the current 2.4 updates in coming weeks), and then even bigger in Q4 2018. Most important I think the google trend for JWE has moved up intraday, so far half as high as the big launch day a couple of months ago. Remains to be seen whether this time it will sustain with the video clips being passed around. If so there could be more interest and another run up of the equity, we'll see. Currently I'm not sure about the technicals but there might be some strength from the publicity today, especially those JWE video clips making the game a bit more real and known entity. | m4ybe
