Cashed in alot of positions across the board earlier including ISA holdings that were meant to be keepers. No idea if I was right or wrong. Certainly wrong on Poly I feel. Dry powder though....

AS per yesterday, it is being cut from the MCSI index - so a number of fund holders are disposing.

Countered by the price of silver pressure upwards, it's (briefly) going to be volatile and a trader's dream.

If only they told us when (what time) they would be selling...

Swapped some POLY for this at 896.

I'm back in now but solely based on it being the mid point between my av position bought yesterday and my sell price earlier. Who knows.....

This must be an institutional seller. I cannot see any other reason for the share price action, given where silver is - and has been - for some time now.
Looks like I might need to use some dry powder for another top up if we return to the mid-800s. Anyone been buying in the 900's this morning, or also waiting for a lower number?

And again - fell further than I thought. Back to see what happened later.

907 with silver at $28.5. Go figure...

These competing pressures (silver up, MCSI index booting) are making for some great swing trades intraday.

Opening gap filled, adding back the 940 sales.

1. Capex - Orisyvo and Rodeo, plus Juanicipio
2. Dividends
3. Some $300m to repay when the old facility expires (can't remember exactly)
4. (after the problems of 2019 and early 2020), cash for a rainy day.

edit - $320m to repay from the old facility, in 2023. Basically short term extra borrowing for the big capex on 1, above

Lol, well no one can say fres is boring to trade. Down 2 percent, finish up 3.5!!!Chart is looking at a reverse head and shoulders pattern now. Once the trend changes this will move quickly.Fres had over a $1B in cash in December. I would imagine that is a lot higher now. I wonder what the plan is for that??

Tracking gold down for now but I would expect a bounce back sooner rather than latter given the sector strength.

Fres still in a down trend. Ft100 companies can react weirdly to chart analysis IMO. Just a reason to keep buying IMO. Silver price is a average 70 percent higher than last year. Results will be stunning and precious metals likely to explode soon.A no brainer!!

Ah, OK. On grounds of market cap?

My recollection is that the last time this happened, all the selling occurred before the actual deadline - and on the date itself nothing really happened. Probably what we're seeing in recent weeks and today.

That might work quite well - POLY dividend being paid 28/05. Mine might be going here... Plus my AWOL DC employer pension pot, if they ever bloody sort it out...

How does a FTSE100 stock fall 3% in half an hour (while I'm in the shower...) when the silver and gold price doesn't move?
