Seems high PE...is profit based on their forecast?

Will have to look at it. Much better silver price than first half of last year and those refinancing costs were heavy last year too.

Wonder what price of silver and gold forecast is based on?

They should have bought dogecoin and bitcoin like Elon. Clearly their treasury department was asleep at the wheel.

We could be right there yes, 8.2 is a little bit make or break level. If it is to bounce there is a little bit of if not now, when element. Trading 16-17x 2021 earnings now maybe. Still not Uber cheap At current silver price. Need silver north of 30.

I'm not counting the penny shares - just the real ones that actually mine and sell gold as opposed to the ones that issue hopeful RNSs and ask for cash...

Maybe it's going for the gap at 690...

Not unhappy to have it lower - all those sales on the way up getting added back, with a respectable gap in between...

Does look like a concerted dump/slam across the sector - they're all getting hammered.


I do remember 820 being a resistance many (lucrative) times over a year ago. It really ought to be a strong support.

Nope - I reckon EPS around 50p this year, earning multiple therefore around 17:



It's not that cheap. POLY, with an EPS broadly in line with last year ($2.30 or £1.64) and therefore an earnings multiple of under 10, is.

What is forward PE ratio? Last year there were a few big costs including hefty refinance charges.

PE must surely be below 12.

I am taking the view that the market is wrong about Fres.....always a dangerous position to take.

These are either getting well shorted or there’s a massive seller in there. You can tell by the way it’s trading. There’s selling on any bounce, forget what silver is doing we have to wait for the seller to stop. Then it should play catch-up, with silver holding 26 the future looks very good for Fres.

Could well be range bound for a while with no major news pending. Silver at $26+ - good trading share while we wait for something to actually happen.

Unless, of course, silver trades at $30 and over. I would guess that most people are in the macro bet on that rather than the fiddly operation stuff. But if silver at $20...Fres in the sixes no problem.

Ok if you say so but what ( small ) percentage of that stock on loan figure would your explaination account for ? and why might that figure be rising at the same time as the Fres share price looks weaker ?

If the metric is of little use then why do those stock on loan figures seem to match up so closely to fluctuations on short tracker on so many other shorted stocks ?

Had a small top up. While it would have been nice to see silver production a little higher, it was pleasing to see gold up, so offset to a degree, perhaps.
Am thinking of getting 1K of PSLV as well. If the silver squeeze attempt does not pan out, I figure it is also unlikely to plunge dramatically or for a long time either, so a low risk punt all in all. Anyone else doing so?

Stock on loan doesn't equal a short.That loaned stock still needs to be physically sold. Loan and selling are two separate transactions.ETF's and managed funds will also borrow and lend stock on a daily basis to cover daily fund flows to keep the funds total expense ratio as low as possible.
