Very interesting - according to Bloomberg it would appear that Winterflood have traded 2 million shares here today, but clearly they have not yet trade reported this to the Stock Exchange, and hence it is not showing up on ADVFN, nor for that matter is it showing up on PLUS. Call it deja vu if you like, but I well remember what happened around this time last year - a mysterious trade in 2 million shares prompted an unscheduled trading statement which proved to be the catalyst that subsequently propelled the price from 40p to 90p in less than 3 months !!!

Trading statement any day now?

As usual it doesn't take much to move the price...not without risk but any volume could see a dramatic rise such as we've seen here before. Recent statements have been positive so here's hoping for continued momentum.

Coolen:The relevant lease is of 25 yrs duration commencing in 2001 with 5yr reviews;the next review therefore is in 2016 which will involve a major uplift in rent taking into consideration how prime retail rents have increased in the West End over the last 2-3 years.In my opinion FC would not have paid a premium in 2001 because the subject lease in rental terms was probably negotiated on arms length terms.There is I understand one other lessee in the property and an office element both of which I assume are interests which are sublet by FC.If this is the case then there could be costs of obtaining vacant possession;however I do not have that level of detail.To summarise therefore I think that the surplus to FC could be many millions if indeed the report which I read which referred to a figure of £10m can be regarded as authoritative;this I believe to be the case.

The update arrived on the 16 Jan last year. they basically release when they are ready for the market, and not the other way round.
Note also the RNS when it does arrive tends to arrive later in the morning rather than the standard 0700.

I called into their Cheshire outlet store end last week, purely out of interest as I have them on my watchlist, it was like a jumble sale with clothing thrown anywhere. Not saying that reflects their general standards but why put your name over the door if the offering is so poor. Bad impression and punters weren't staying, other stores were very busy.
