You can almost feel the relief with the release of this IMS. Basically, it's nowhere near the disaster many doomsayers were predicting. Stabilised on the loss front, booming wholesale and a firm floor under the shares now I reckon

rang some dozy bird at Investor Relations at lunchtime Thurs on the very question of IMS. Said she would get back to me with the answer. Needless to say am still waiting 24 hours on.
I just hope that the Co. is snowed under busy with orders, sales etc, and my query was just a minor irritation.

The FD has come back to me and confirmed the requirement for quarterly updates has been removed. He said "we haven't yet firmed up the exact timing internally for our next announcement".

BBC (Close): French Connection shares dived 9.6% to 60.38p despite the fashion retailer reporting narrower losses.

The company reported a half-year loss of £3.9m, compared with a £6.1m loss a year earlier, and said it expected full-year results to meet expectations.

It said it remained "cautious" about the second half of the year, adding: "As ever, we are dependent on the very important Christmas trading period."
