07/2/2014 08:37 | Amorruso, my view is that yesterday, the price needed to finish clear of the recent high at approx. 42, and also ideally, the fib line at 44 in order to progress. Both targets seem to have been met with very little selling which means we are now breaking out. I've not looked closely at targets, but think that mid to late 50's is possible in the near future. As usual we need more volume! | bamboo2
06/2/2014 17:10 | I agree and with Ted Baker valued at £930 million with £245 million revenues French Connection starts to look cheap. Its amazing they have managed to turn a 2nd half profit and keep cash more or less the same when there has been some big investment in marketing and design.Which suggests margins will grow even further with the added bonus of the UK economy bouncing back. | she-ra
06/2/2014 16:53 | That's a good point although there will be a few taking interest in this recovery story with the shares at such a low price at 47p. The last time a recovery took hold at FCCN the shares shot up from 50p to 140p in only three months between late 2010 and early 2011. It is fairly tightly held so sharp movements are always likely in any direction but to make matters even more interesting is that there is clearly an economic recovery in place which is one thing that there wasn't back in 2011. In addition, FCCN lags behind the retail index so lots of catching up to do with an exciting few months in store. If you pardon the pun! £l per share gives a market cap of only £90m and a PSR of only 0.4 with no debt and cash on the balance sheet. That is cheap. | amorruso |
