Well these are defying gravity for some strange reason.

Deb statement pretty much tells the story for a well run retailer, this one on the other hand is gimcrack run. Another 3p on the share price and I am shorting this.

TS when released will send this down to 30p I have little doubt.

CR, any chance you could put this chart in the header for a while? Would like to monitor this potential continuation pattern.

'fraid not bamboo old fruit. You see "CR" was stopped out months ago, losing most of his shirt on this one. Keep believing in him if you want to lol.

Hi Amorruso, Weighted moving averages.

They give a quicker signal that SMA's, [Simple moving avs], being weighted towards more recent price data. I'm using this in smaller timeframes, 4,9,14,20 days combined with this potential flag.

The flag is a short time phenomenon. 8-12 weeks maximum.

This is to try to time an entry point, to add here.

I sold half my previous holding a while ago to take profit.

We want to see the ribbons do the same as in October, ie change their order

The chart shows a potential classic bull flag.

Watch for a turn up in the WMA's. [just started?]
Accompanying Volume needs to be heavy.

Thats just it John - they do not.

FCCN are struggling with no clear target audience.

I predict a negative LFL Xmas season as customers simply stay away. Sub 30p is a racing cert for me with FCCN.

Only three weeks to find out. You heard it here first.

I will be staggered if this is anything other than a flat Xmas for FCCN and plenty more besides.

If I were Betting Man - I would say this is going to be a bad Xmas for most retailers.

I bought back in last week too. Nothing new to add really. Jeroen Bos's chapter about them in his recent book made me reconsider why I'd sold out months ago. share price retracting from recent highs seemed a nice re-entry point. There are hints that the worst may be over here. If so, we might see the share price much higher than NCAV over the coming months.

GLA. :-)

gents,

took a small position here last week.

I too have been ringing around and footfall is up. (north east)

Like 4 Like is up.

Don't know about online

Pal of mine who is a boss with M & S said that they may have turned a corner, but also said they were still struggling to identify their market, but quality and design were good, if not a bit expensive

hope that helps,

Re store footfall. I visited a few recently and I was presently surprised. The Birmingham bull ring store was very busy. With ladies queuing at the till.

IMHO better to look at the weekly French Connection chart. A close above 38p on the weekly chart forecasts an imminent 36% move to 52p.The Richmond store which isn't large, had some dozen Shoppers yesterday evening when I walked past although the Company was advertising 50% reductions.

SP hit approx the top of the rising channel, also co-incides with approx. 50 % retraction on flag pole. This seems quite a reliable chart set up.
If the retraction falls below approx. 60% be wary. imo

Pauly

THT's balance sheet will sort itself out and rapidly as they get to 10% retained profit.

EPS in three years will be 20p plus, divvy of at least 5p.

SM, is your guess based on anything?

Ere' in doors works at a senior level at Arcadia HQ and they are having a terrible time. Way down on last year, plan, you name it - its just not shifting.

The High Street clothes trade is under as much pressure as it has been since I started investing in them in 1997. Perhaps more and I can recall some terrible year Xmases as peeps bought tech and not clobber.

So while FCCN has cash in the bank its battling against a very hard market and time and without a real change in fortune I believe it will run out of both sadly.

Throw in demographic and structural economic changes and the picture looks even more bleak.

SM, is your guess based on anything?

Alexa have web traffic for fccn now up 40% since the summer lows. I'm not sure if this translates to sales.

I took half my profits a few days ago, as wanted to top up elsewhere.
The chart is showing a consolidation phase.
