Notwithstanding any progress - FBT are not cash generative at the moment.

I would say far from it - especially as they have flagged the spending tap is back on.

To clear up any opaqueness re finances, FBT could produce a Financial Operational Profit and Loss update on or around the 10th July with 1st Half Year Preliminary figures.

Not difficult to achieve..

Let's see!

Also - judging on the prices of the recent transactions looks like there's an error in the reporting. I think they are buys, not sells...

Cash at bank must be around £6m - £7m.
YoY sales up 80% and this deal (+ Sports + Japanese telco and other pipeline): it's possible that FBT is now generating cash, or close to it.
Yet share price is £17m.
Looks undervalued to my eyes.

Agree, I had valued FBT at Market Value due to Tech alone at £35-40m i.e. 18-20p per share..
It's probably, due to dilution more like 12p now... Less room for share price growth due to M/V alone.

Revenue growth is slow in making inroads to the £2m pa current loss, which may impact share price in the short term.

The Miton Group increase to 20% could be positive for the market though, but as already mentioned by many posters, FBT need a few large and eye catching contracts with iconic companies.

The sports pilot may prove to be very positive.

Still no apparent marketing evident or positive affect from either their attendance at NAB 2018 or the @blackbird rebranding.

FBT now have some funds so perhaps, they could utilise some of that to increase their profile. And as stated the threat of running out of money has gone for the time being!

I would be happy with a BOD reshuffle and the Chairman being removed, due to a lack of effectiveness and leadership and a woman appointed to the BOD.

Miton have shown an enormous amount of faith in Mr Streater and his creativity and 18 year project, let's hope it can be repaid.

GL and IMHO

Yes true but perhaps we have a greater chance of big success?

Buying more shares at these prices helps the dilution problem but it costs more money of course.

However the short-mid term risk has plummeted imho

Dilution has had an unpleasant effect on returns

We are valued at 17m with the share price at around 5.5 to 6p.

A few years ago each penny was around 1m market cap. Now each penny is around 3m. Shame as commercially things are looking rosier.

Don’t get excited guys. The usual suspects will be along shortly to dampen the enthusiasm.

Could it be some investors lost confidence unnecessarily?

Ok maybe it won't take until interims to reach 10p ?

The Miton disclosure is interesting because I think they have purchased in two additional funds as well as the original fund. If I am right it does suggest that they are more than confident about the prospects.

It would be amazing for us if Blackbird got adopted for consumer scale services at mass scale.

But that’s even beyond my bullishness at present!

Amazon are rumoured to be building a YouTube service maybe they can differentiate and use Blackbird?

Clipping like MK says would be great for consumers.

Blue Sky investing!

IMHO both ways are an issue for netflix.

Imagine if blackbird was listed!

Surely net neutrality is a consumer issue video-at mass scale.

B2B less so?

"m_k_ might have some insight?"

hi mcsean2164
all i can point to is persistent drive to improve codec efficiency over the years i.e. drive down data rate.
at this year's agm i asked what blackbird 9 delivered and a big data rate reduction was a headline.
as you know the model for the software is to push updates automatically to the client.
so continuous improvement really pays dividends and makes the effort worthwhile.
(versus having a codec burnt into a piece of hardware).
i like the neutrality angle you raise.
no idea concerning bandwidth savings.

Like invest360 said I think this is well undervalued. I believe it will be over 10p post interims. Or at least I hope.

Aimster4400,

If IM gets the share price back above 10p, I'll be happy.

Paul,

I see our main growth potential coming from net neutality -- e.g.

Since we have the best variable rate codec, if it offered bandwidth saving potential (even 10%). Netflix might be interested in FBT and buy out the company. Sadly. I have never seen a comparison of Blackbird against other codecs so the benefit is hard to quantify for me. I asked SS but didn't get a reply tot hat question. m_k_ might have some insight?

In summary, sideways, maybe a return to 10p or a move down but still the potential for a whoosh!

Happy to see work that I have completed helping multiple companies grow together! @forbiddentech has been a wonderful video editing partner for many years. "...a significant six-digit two-year deal with (link: hxxp://TownNews.com) TownNews.com"

If Cash Burn (Net loss) remains the same at 160k per month, then increase in revenue= increase in expenditure.

Surely?

If the contract is worth 500k pa that is fantastic news, the RNS wording by the CEO does not suggest that though!

Also the deal is with a Townnews Partner, with possible reseller fees?

IMHO
