...This growth has continued and management accounts up to 30 April 2018 show an 80% year on year growth for invoiced sales with North American sales up 150%,

The original posting by FBT is opaque referring as it does to North America rather than plainly the USA or Canada. The assumption that it refers to a Canadian corporation is presumably based on the fact that it would have been easier to write USA but they did not do so. Rogers, NBC, TSN, DAZN are all possibilities and perhaps the pilot has ended already. If it resulted in an ongoing contract there is the possibility that as the fact has been previously published they do not have to say anything more. The 6 month figures might give a clue as revenue will have been booked in the first half if it was continuing.

I thought, for some reason, the pilot was for the Canadian Ice Hockey League and NBC..

Maybe totally wrong joining of dots...

I can only assume the broadcaster is Rogers Canada*

I can only assume the broadcaster is NBC, if the pilot goes well blackbird could roll out throughout NBC, then throughout the parent company Comcast. Then the big bucks roll in and we can all retire.

Or it might go aswell as the BBC POC.

Chris

Sorry thought he was referring to this one of 12/7/17

'Forbidden Technologies plc (AIM: FBT) is pleased to announce a paid for pilot for its Forscene video platform with a major North American broadcaster and sports rights holder'

The Press Release was released on 18/08/2017 and said "Forbidden Technologies plc (AIM: FBT), is pleased to announce that it has today agreed an expanded deal with an iconic sports, music and entertainment venue in New York." That was presumably MSG and FBT has clearly doing increased business with them hence the Emmy Nomination earlier this year.

I've lost track of all the failed pilots!

World cup analogy: Peter Shilton has left the box, he's running up to the captain and taken the armband and given him his gloves. He's now dribbling towards goal with the ball, falls over and Maradonna has the ball. Maradonna scores.

IM is Peter Shilton, a business executive in a technology company...

How long is this sports pilot? 3 years?

Hi Paul,

We are a software company that specialises in codecs being run by a guy with a primary degree in psychology and no clue how to code. IMHO he has failed miserably in his first year for shareholders, who knows how the next year will go.

FBT now is not the company I invested in but still think 7.5p is possible and will hold for a while longer.

Well, he's paid himself about £250k, issued himself 2m options, the company paid for some shares and he got 5% of the business at a discount.

So for him, the performance has been great.

For the rest of us, the share price is at historic lows.

The 'new' CEO is coming up to a year at the helm, what's your assessment of his performance and impact?

Football analogies welcome!

If you think changing the name of a product that sounds like foreskin (as discussed with the former CEO) to blackbird (a Beatles song) the name of the codec is creative....

"No creative spark"Really? I think that repositioning the business around blackbird and the way he did it took a lot of creativity. He's either independently wealthy or there's a deal in place for the £700k, most likely with the broker. Nick2412 will be able to tell us eventually.

For any interested, there's no way I'll be following suit in kind and filtering NickB.

I for one want to be updated regularly on how delighted NickB is that the share price has dropped giving him the opportunity to buy more shares.

bonion1000,

very good deal in a small company at shareholders expense, let's hope he can bring us back above 5p!😂
