I'm not sure what else this guy can do to please some of you. It's a significant 6 figure deal. That's not 100k it's 3, 4,500k. He's also driven 80% growth in his first full quarter. I personally think he's doing a great job.

Agree, I think the deal is £100k pa and the previous (F59) deal was £45- 50k pa

Great deal for exposure though if it is ABC!!

All your points are very valid and I think you are one of the more thoughtful posters (including me)on here... There is unbelievable potential for FBT to be a success as they have a wonderful product.

The historical facts suggest, It is not a certainty though!

But:
You filtered me, so please.....

Hope all is good..

Good point

Just trying to keep it real, yesterday's contract extension was positive but was not new business and opaque, at best, with regards financial figures.

FBT have lost my trust re motives, timings and released information.

Mr Streater has my upmost respect for his invention/creativity though.

Your independent review comment is sooo relevant... Two months after NAB and I cannot see a tech or company review anywhere!

Any thoughts?

How do you see the next 6months playing out?

If you don’t think things have improved that is up to you.

We have a much stronger CEO that has senior industry executive background.

We have a lot more money to back up any infrastructure sales selling a key critical component in major industry workflows so they will only deal with a company that is going to be around.

We are a year or so down the road to industry Cloud adoption so that opens sales opportunities that could not be closed even a year ago.

Oh we also have Ai services available!

Looking backwards at times of change will give you the wrong picture.

The account amounts are more like a startup so do not indicate the hoped for outcome of the business.

Hi Paul,

I think it is better to compare with the share price prior to the departure of the last CEO. It was over 10p...

As far as I am concerned the deal is 100k, I just hope fbt aren't paying them 100k to buy the software

The industry has moved much closer to Cloud adoption making the sales environment more fertile.

Or
STOP looking backwards in a technology play!

Yep. All this deal has done is pay IM's increased wage when compared to Aziz for 2 years.

'Time to forget the past, and look to the future. Things can only get better now'

This time 1 year ago share price 4.88p, 2017 - Cash Burn £160k per Month, £2M total loss for year - £2.5m in bank....

Today, share price 5.19p - Cash Burn £160k per Month, projected total loss therefore £2M - £5M in bank (after 33% share dilution)

Oh and basically same staff!! Accept we now have a £200k pa CEO

How does this look better?

Facts only Please?

tangible commercial progress in the us, best news on a commercial front in a long while!

the client is using forte, the incumbent tech

guess the client has sight of the other bells and whistles available / in the pipeline from the platform

- java script client editor
- ascent viewer / clipper

ascent feels like a killer way of handling video over the web

clipping and sharing of video by copying and pasting urls is entry level functionality of what can be achieved with this

feels like consumers would have a ball with it, quickly scanning through video and selecting bits to share

Some really interesting points and joining the dots. A great summary of the latest round of news.

That said:
The Townnews expansion is good news (no doubt)but could be as little as £100k pa (10% of revenue). Significant maybe in respect of the technology usage and exposure, not financially as some suggest.
I am assuming a renegotiation/upgrade of the Field59 contract.

Potentially, moving forwards this tie up could prove very beneficial.

Again, I do not want to view the raising of cash and subsequent dilution of shares any other way than a failure to sell the product in sufficient numbers.
The CEO buying shares at 5p apparently is applauded, me buying at 10p is not.

The extra funds FBT now have COULD enable them to take on larger contracts, let's see what the next few months bring.

A S.W.O.T analysis (remember them from the 80's) is needed with special attention on the Threats from competitors and alternative solutions to what is ground breaking technology.

From your posts I gather you are optimistic?

Good Luck with your Investment.

For me, USP is the variable rate codec. With high bandwidth, variability is irrelevant, however, with the demise of net neutrality, it may be that netflix et al consider using it. In that case, ka ching

I've been here for 3 years now since the release of Eva, my average is closer to 9p, however bought a small chunk again today @ 4.9p. All looks great again, let's hope we finally take off. FBT is my biggest investment, am I delusional?

Will the Blackbird finally soar?

A very good point, SSB. From the outside it appears that others are solving the same problem. 2016 Olympics and Russia 2018 are cases in point. What is their tech not able to achieve that Blackbird can? Even if it is unassailable IP does it actually make enough of a difference in reality - given that other broadcasters are using alternative solutions? Or - put it another way, when they finally wake up to Blackbird how will their current output / workflow / costs (or the experience of their viewers) change?
NickB - you appear to be in a good position to answer this. Would you mind giving us an expert tutorial?

Long term shareholders me included, if we want decent long term PI's to invest we need:

Someone(not me) to please, make a simple explanation of the technology and how it helps the market we are in.

I think someone who has a clue needs to do this as I am tired of "preaching to the choir".

As an incentive I will give you PLUS and BRAZ coins

Anyone keen?

From my PoV this announcement, coinciding as it does with the (over)subscription, points towards corroborating what we had been suspecting by putting all of the evidence together. A positive uptick based on a long list of data points:
- Broadcasting waking up to the Cloud - as all other sectors have done / are doing;
- Several sources quoting FBT as being a leader in this field;
- Announcement of significant shift in strategy towards recurring revenue infrastructure deals...
- ... along with the (now uncharacteristically) bullish message that evidence is that the developing pipeline is evidence that it is starting to succeed;
- 80% uplift in YoY sales;
- Ian McD putting £700k of personal funds into FBT;
- A dawning realisation that Ian McD does, indeed, have the calibre to back up his CV, and therefore for us to, perhaps, take his word - and his lead - seriously.
- An announcement of what, on all accounts is the biggest deal in FBTs 20 year history ...
- ... and clearly linked to ABC - which has only rolled-out in 11 states, so far;
- Enough cash (with the addition of this deal) to avoid a fund raise for many years, along with the balance sheet and collateral to increase the traction in the new market.
- Corporate investors putting 7-figure sums into FBT based on information that is now only just coming to light.
I suspect that the AIM market hasn't quite woken up to the significance of the news flow over the last 2 months - and how it all strings together. Hence my buying a slug of additional shares at what I now believe to be an under-valuing of the stock.

Exactly.

Time to forget the past, and look to the future.

Things can only get better now.

IM certainly looks the part, so looks like we are finally in good hands.

Great investment for any new investors as word spreads.

Should slowly climb from here, and I don’t see much downside risk now.

Bought a few the other day at 4.9p, and will keep adding over next few weeks.
