They needed £5.6million to support a deal worth less that million?

It looks like they needed the extra cash to run support for this huge deal.

I think it is looking really good.

Amazing how news always arises pre a raising and an AGM.And then the day before they need to justify screwing shareholders.

Plenty of U.K. Video technology companies have done good business in the US in the past.
And our service can run on Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure.

We need to increase our visibility we have not got noticed by the wider video community in the US.

"Perhaps who supplies the service is not an issue in software for the Cloud"

i doubt it is an issue. nbc/youtube were a customer for the olympics in 2012 for example.

Chris
i think FBT or almost any tech company is at a massive disadvantage being UK based / London listed.

They have to win in the USA but i doubt they can do it alone.
I still feel we need to be acquired by a US major but no interest so far as we know!
Anyway lets see how far they can go on their own now everything is good to go.

I worked in a company that took 15 years to break into the US market (aerospace) and only did so when it formed a US subsidiary and based senior staff in Washington. It depends what you are selling and to whom. Perhaps who supplies the service is not an issue in software for the Cloud or in the area in which you work but if so why are so many of the big Cloud players based in the States? The good news for FBT shareholders is that once we got accepted we sold lots of premium priced kit to them and were eventually bought by one of the major US players at a substantial premium.

Every time I read this BB I get bored from new post 1.

It's all so insipid I hardly post any more.

I think a proper business man was the best call for our tech stock.

I support him in his role, increase shareholder value and look after the best interests of investors.

I hate the dilution, it may be a legacy of incompetence.

I do think that the CEO should take the broom and sweep hard then the city may believe in the new reforms.

Still holding all my stake BTW.

It is odd especially given the current state of relations between the USA and Canada. It may now be as difficult for a US based sales team to sell to Canada as it has been for a UK one to sell to the USA i.e. almost impossible if there is a domestic alternative available.

Canada comes under North America Sales Territory?
nickb
20/6/2018

seems strange to elect to refer to a canadian firm as north american rather than just canadian, verging on implying 'brand canada' is weaker than 'north america'. perhaps the firm operates over multiple territories i.e. usa and ca.
