I think it's the six returned aircraft that have initiated the spike in maintenance costs. And also a lot of the fleet are from two lessors I think, GOAL and Nordic Aviation is if they have insisted on specific return conditions on the one or two aircradt they have each had back then Flybe will have to extrapolate that across the fleet

Isn't all maintenance preventative ? point is they've been doing it for 25 years so "maintenance" cost rising may have spooked the market.

Its called preventative maintenance!

and presumably planes that are returned have to be put in tip top condition

Confusing that Ourmieres said cost of maintenance has gone up to aid reliability and yet we have been the most reliable for quite a while according to various reports.

I, and family, fly with them from Newquay and Exeter and find the staff to be fantastic and invariably helpful.

All I hear are complaints about their customer service at London City Airport. The words I here when talking about delayed or cancelled flights, are Arrogant - Rude - Lacking in alternatives - more often late than on time - expensive. However, when things run smoothly it seems everyone is happy to pay the price for convenience, so rather than worry about Taxes, they need to tackle service issues and customer relations.

Christine continuing the fight over APD, if it did get abolished we could see a big hike in the share price
This could be the bottom I'm keeping the faith, trading statement due end of the month.

Wouldn't affect Flybe as they are only trying to maintain the 3 routes they already have.

BBC news this evening...Ryanair is seeking a licence to operate domestic UK air routes which it says it may need in the event of a hard Brexit. Not sure how it will affect flybe.

I have booked flights with the company for the first time for many years as the service failed to live up to expectation repeatedly - flights cancelled, flights delayed, arrogant attitudes etc.

They still have these problems I believe and until they change, and they need to change, they also need to change the public perception that lingers, if they are changing and have changed that is.

I am still negative about the company and the stock but having booked tickets on the company website, which is one thing that has improved since I last did so, I found the booking process straight forward and quick. The prices are still high, and the extras like luggage are excessive imo.

I shall however put these on my monitor list once again.

I'm hopeing for profit of half the current mkt cap before exceptionals. A purchase by Iam Milne would perk up the share price

Completely off the radar and will continue to be until next results imo. I've noticed well over a million buys over last few trading days so bottom fishers getting their xmas presents before summer. 2018 should be the year flybe finally get back on the radar but comparing them with other airlines is pointless i.e "we don't want to be anybody else" from Ournieres in the article below.
