11/11/2017 04:50 | D1NGA. Best you inform the English Oxford dictionary of their error? crash-landVERB(of an aircraft) land roughly in an emergency, typically without lowering the landing gear. | palwing13
11/11/2017 02:09 | palwing - some people see a half empty glass I prefer to see it half full , it could have been a lot worse , nothing really to get too excited about IMO , but the passengers will have a tale for the grandkids , the aircraft landed under control of the pilot there was no crash | d1nga
11/11/2017 01:41 | They picked up an extra 400000 passengers in H1 so some planes must reach their destination. | sandoval
11/11/2017 01:38 | A Flybe plane with 57 people on board has been forced to make an emergency landing with no nose gear in place at Belfast International Airport. The Bombardier Q-400 had taken off from City Airport at 11.07am bound for Inverness but reported an undercarriage fault as it burned fuel in a holding pattern for about two hours.Flight BE331 was diverted to the international hub where it landed safely at about 1.30pm with the front of the plane unsupported, and the runway was closed to other aircraft. | palwing13
10/11/2017 22:35 | it didn't really crash land though did it? nose wheel jammed, pilot landed , no injuries and very little if any damage to aircraft but yes same aircraft type | d1nga
10/11/2017 16:42 | "H1 2017/18 UPDATE Flybe announces that, following a detailed review of aircraft maintenance, it has incurred higher than expected related costs in the first half. This reflects the drive to further improve the reliability of its aircraft, particularly the Bombardier Q400 turboprop, with improvements already being seen." Isn't that the same type of plane that crash landed in Belfast? | bighairyspider
10/11/2017 15:33 | loop the loop | netcurtains
10/11/2017 14:33 | That maintenance issue must be real. Just crash landed at Belfast airport. Nose wheel jammed up or something | jlo10

09/11/2017 17:13 | In my opinion anyone who gets out now is making a mistake I see steady rise back to mid forties at least barring any unforeseen which this company as a habit of . But I do feel we may have finally seen the last of the bad news time will tell. | best1467
09/11/2017 15:46 | This will just drift now there's no more news for a while. I'm out. | mreasygoing

09/11/2017 09:46 | Look at the accounts in more detail Phillis: for starters - £3,000,000 in Net Debt described as small being around 4.5% increase in debt, with net assets falling by £1.8m "Stable net assets of GBP151.7m (31(st) March 2017: GBP153.5m) with a small seasonal increase in net debt to GBP67.0m (31(st) March 2017: GBP64.0m)." | clocktower
09/11/2017 09:06 | silly analysis 3rd Q outlook most promising for many moons | phillis
09/11/2017 08:04 | I had come to the conclusion that a dabble in Flybe was one of my (many!) mistakes. However these results fail to disappoint to the extent expected and do in fact show distinct signs of promise for the future - at last. If one's expectations are low enough it's difficult to be disappointed! The share is potentially cheap on £8.4m for a half year (adjusted bt), even for a relatively volatile sector such as aviation. If an upward trajectory can be established and maintained from here this could fly, or else become a juicy acquisition target. Externally generated problems are always possible but at least it looks less likely that the company will succumb to internal errors. | boadicea
09/11/2017 07:26 | Will Stobart step in and buy them now, before value returns........ | hippo
09/11/2017 07:19 | getting there.... | qs99
09/11/2017 07:19 | Reasonably encouraging, though I think it will take another 6-9 months for some confidence to be restored in the share price because of the damage done in the last 3-4 years. One to tuck away IMHO. | dahhad
07/11/2017 09:32 | I think folk do understand - it's just that they worry FLYB may never turn a profit :) | toffeeman
07/11/2017 00:20 | they did say profit in the recent update, I think people do not quite understand, flybe is mega undervalued when it starts to turn a profit. | rental
06/11/2017 16:02 | Why would anything have changed since the recent pw? | toffeeman |
