30/12/2021 12:11 | US opening up by next week. The vaccination rate increasing which will further drop death rates which will result in more opening up. Even the democrats have had enough. “If you won’t vax, it’s time this is on you” is becoming the norm… | solarman2013
30/12/2021 11:44 | More televised games in December than usual due to rearrangement of fixtures and more upsets in US College & Pro & England footy which equal higher holdthe only statistic worth mentioning turnover irrelevantMonster profit in next update (sssh keep it quiet til gov review complete)All is well | the white house
30/12/2021 11:17 | Clearly both the CDC and government are reacting to the fact that there is COVID fatigue and that Omicron is far less deadly by having a much shorter quarantine protocol. As with South Africa, we will get to peak very fast and then get out same. All of those 106 players will be back in action next weekend. | solarman2013
30/12/2021 08:37 | As predicted....Omicron taking its tollWeek 16 NFL betting activity declined significantly relative to the prior four weeks, catching sportsbook operators and some market observers by surprise.Potentially compounding those woes for some operators, particularly DraftKings and FanDuel, are rumors that marquee NFL players missing games because of contracting COVID-19, or because of the league's health and safety protocols, is leading to declining participation in daily fantasy sports (DFS).the current state of affairs for leagues and sportsbook operators is anything but normal. Some of the early season betting enthusiasm is clearly gone, thanks in large part to COVID-19.On Monday, 96 NFL players tested positive for the virus, and 106 were added to the league's reserve/COVID-19 list both records.Anyone who thought this would have little effect is clearly related to an ostrich! | mip55
23/12/2021 17:36 | Awww so close- almost hit 120 before Christmas. As always, another well positioned acquisition. Extremely happy with how things are shaping up, and should continue to put smiles on our faces as we move forward to 2023 | vraetorian
23/12/2021 15:44 | WTF up over 5.3% in NY. This should be £119 ish. | blue59
23/12/2021 13:53 | Great news all around, nothing but positive catalysts ahead. This acquisition was a smart and proactive move. I like that it was an all cash deal; which may indicate Fox will end up paying a hefty amount for their stake to support a deal this size. Timing of the acquisition and settlement of Fox arbitration appear to both be in Q2 2022. | ahmedt1810
23/12/2021 12:57 | Louisiana 4.7m sports betting live in casinos and mobile live Jan 15Nice to see a 20pc hold for the inaugural month and a photo I saw shows a decent queue for 1,000+ bucks bets only. ImpressiveOhio Sports betting signed into law yesterday for a strong 11.7m pop, live date just the 11 months away for whatever reason but the pipeline is relentless and may be not the end of the World that promo spend is not all US in the same monthLong term prospects unstoppable | the white house
23/12/2021 12:30 | The last two acquisitions will be accretive to topline AND earnings. They are making moves to mitigate a weak international business (other than Australia) which is wise and an excellent strategy. Omicron concerns are going to wane by mid January. Life will go on. | solarman2013
23/12/2021 12:12 | Paying less than 8x EBITDA for a growing company and the acquisition financed by debt is great. Would like to see Flutter do more of these acquisitions, lever up that balance sheet and buy quality assets at reasonable multiples | tkamp
23/12/2021 10:02 | Smart move | solarman2013
23/12/2021 09:52 | That's a massive transaction to consolidate Flutter's position in the Italian market, the second largest in Europe. | djderry
23/12/2021 07:41 | Top deal, further diversification across Europe and the World thus reducing reliance on any particular country and potential regulation changes. With the US booming income streams will be huge going forward with this and Tombola. Definite move to add lotteries and bingo that seem to avoid any regulation attention to the portfolio | the white house
22/12/2021 15:18 | New launch by FanDuel of SGP+ cross game action capturing a lot of US headlines. Will be only co. Offering will get some huge winner headlines but the bottom line will be increased margins and action | the white house
21/12/2021 22:49 | The deadline for Florida sports betting ballot measures to meet the first signature threshold for the November 2022 election is February 1.But that deadline is a bit misleading because it is for verified signatures, and signatures can take up to 30 days to verify. This means that the deadline for collecting signatures to get FL sports betting on the ballot in 2022 in the Sunshine State is roughly two weeks away.https://www.leg | mip55
21/12/2021 19:14 | Just wait until NY launches and they come to compromise in Florida. I Betcha discussions are underway between Seminole and others. They got a bunch of names and should consider that their head start. California can’t resist for much longer. They are being surrounded and CA is the prize | solarman2013
21/12/2021 15:19 | Indeed, more football on than normal given rescheduled gamesPenn numbers are out, huge increase YoY up from 492 to 762mFanDuel again biggest player with revenue up from 15m to 29m, a huge 46pc of overall win, remarkable given a dozen players Added here, Penn, Ballys & Caesars all up over 6pc, others up 4pc+ right now | the white house
19/12/2021 23:13 | Lots Of great football today in USA. Full stadiums. Time to just live with it and accept that older weaker fatter people may die, those most don’t . | solarman2013
18/12/2021 14:27 | See, I’m not arguing that fact. Other fact, sports players are the healthiest people on earth. Period. | solarman2013
18/12/2021 14:05 | We can argue till the cows come home but facts are facts. Omicron is here and it is having a serious impact on public events and will continue to do so until the majority of us are vaccinated against it. | mip55
18/12/2021 13:19 | The more vulnerable would succumb to flus as well. We cannot attempt to protect everyone who is in weakened and sunset situations. Otherwise forget about ever living normally again. We accept risks every day. Those are vulnerable should mitigate their risks. Most in hospital are not vaxxed. That is mostly THEIR decision | solarman2013
18/12/2021 12:55 | My point about Omicron related to the sporting fixtures but anyone who believes it isn't an issue is badly mistaken. This variant is largely resistant to the first two doses and is massively more transmissible than Delta. Hence anyone getting it, asymptomatic or not, risks passing it on to the more vulnerable and that is why hospitalisations are increasingly being seen. The race to achieve some form of immunity with a booster is taking place now but until the majority of the population is covered then we can continue to expect disruption to public life - including sporting fixtures | mip55
18/12/2021 12:15 | Omicron is mostly asymptomatic or mild. Omicron isn’t the issue. Older and weaker bodies will go to hospital yet deaths have remained due to delta. It’s an interesting phenomena that most of the unvaccinated lean to the right politically. Talk about redrawing electoral maps …. | solarman2013
18/12/2021 07:43 | What is encouraging is the figures for those players in receipt of a double vaccine - 95% of NFL members as opposed to 68% of our Premier League players. Omicron requires a third vaccine to achieve some measure of protection but with - at last reports - 25% of our players stating an intention to remain unvaccinated the prospect of a quick resolution to the problem is difficult. | mip55
18/12/2021 00:28 | NFL games May b rescheduled and played without spectators but season will b completed. This is my hope. Super Bowl will be held May b without spectators if situation get worse | harigoyal |
