29/3/2024 16:45 | Flutter shares will be removed from the FTSE 100 index (index trackers will be forced to sell their holding) but UK shareholders (eg me) will not need to sell shares and buy again in US as there will remain a secondary listing in London. | rkeck
29/3/2024 14:25 | You will always see a balance . What will change is volume as any North American volume will switch to NYSE. My shares were easy to flip to NYSE. I flipped all of them. Because as much as Flutter is international the name value of Fan Duel must be internationalized and that will produce great efficiency in marketing spend , investment regnition , and more. | solarman2013
29/3/2024 14:17 | Any idea what happens to the FTSE listing when Flutter moves primary listing to US. Will the UK shares remain on the FTSE ? Will we be forced sell FTSE & buy new US shares instead? If remaining on FTSE will share price more than likely drop if people sell FTSE & buy US anyway? T.I.A | advjoe
29/3/2024 10:50 | The market reaction is only marginally connected to the NCAA news. Of greater significance was the letter sent by Senator Richard Blumenthal to all major US betting companies regarding their treatment of problem gamblers. In addition, the state of New Jersey is potentially raising betting tax from 15 to 30%. There is more…Masachuse | rkeck
28/3/2024 23:12 | They have to get the name out. CEO needs to go on interviews. There’s no reason why DraftKings deserves so much higher valuation. | lappuliisa
28/3/2024 22:46 | So true . The bounce will be high when NYSE becomes primary listing | solarman2013
28/3/2024 22:33 | Fascinating over reaction by the market to the NCAA news. Analyst view “Not many states break down handle by sports and operator. As in our Flutter initiation we reference Illinois which provides granular detail. In CY23, only 6% of operator revenue came from college sports. We estimate <25% of that is driven by ‘props’. Implies 1.5% of US revenue up for grabs here. Flutter also has considerable global operations… Great buying opportunity.” | dapper5
27/3/2024 18:47 | Good. I'm glad they're doing something about Prop bets, and addressing the excessive betting outside of contests final score. There is a clear oversaturation of betting in student games which definitely could be pulled back. Sports betting shouldn't have a place in student games, imo. Eventhough I'm invested, I think everyone can agree betting adds a toxic element to student/college games that doesn't need to be there. I agree with the outlook that something needs to be done. | vraetorian
27/3/2024 18:28 | DraftKings Tumbles On NCAA Crackdown Amid ESPN Report, Ohtani Scandal DraftKings (DKNG) and Flutter Entertainment (FLUT) reeled Wednesday from several developments on the sports betting and online gambling scene. DraftKings stock dived after setting a new high. Sports Betting, Online Gambling: Triple Whammy With sports betting on the rise, NCAA said Wednesday it wants to ban prop bets in college sports. "The NCAA is drawing the line on sports betting to protect student athletes and to protect the integrity of the game — issues across the country these last several days show there is more work to be done," NCAA president Charlie Baker said in a statement on Wednesday. "The NCAA has been working with states to deal with these threats and many are responding by banning college prop bets," the statement added. Prop bets — or proposition bets — are wagers unrelated to a contest's final score. An example bet would be how many points or rebounds a basketball player might have, or yards or touchdowns a football player might have, The Athletic website said. | harigoyal
27/3/2024 16:33 | the bounce up started post trading day in UK, now recovering in USA... | solarman2013
27/3/2024 16:04 | Trading halted on the down, never thought I'd see the day | the white house
27/3/2024 15:34 | @ahmedt1810 you are spot on. i am not a day trader, hae held onto every share that I can since Amaya days. Will continue to do so given the future years forecast. Bills come and go yet sports betting wont go away any time soon. This is all temporary noise. | solarman2013
27/3/2024 15:11 | The Wall Street journal has apparently broken the story of a potential bill in US aimed at preventing problem gambling via various means. This is the reason for the major fall in price (Draftkings also well down). | rkeck
27/3/2024 14:55 | Stock price aside, there was a lot to be excited about from this earnings call. In particular, the planned integration between poker stars and FanDuel. I think that will further separate FanDuel from the competition and cement its #1 position. I thought the impairment and royalty approach with poker stars was brilliant by flutter. I’m sure they had the future fox option in mind when coming up with that strategy. They are playing the long game. | ahmedt1810
27/3/2024 14:27 | I think we have lived this before. To be frank, neither stars nor Flutter led by good IR CEOs'. They focus rather on delivery. Give this some time, after May 1, things change such as GAAP accounting, visiblity | solarman2013
27/3/2024 14:22 | Understood Derryman. I have held the shares on an only increasing basis for around 10 years (via previous brands), so current price doesn’t affect me greatly. I just like to understand. “Collapse̶ | rkeck
27/3/2024 14:11 | Risk assets.Share prices move up and down all the time, unless they stay the same. Nothing to see.An entire industry is based on giving plausible explanations after the fact. The share price tells you nothing about the company, only the price at which a tiny slither of shareholders are willing to transact.Using words like ' collapse' is perhaps, slightly emotive.A better system,I find,is to chose one day a year ( for me,usually around 30th Dec) to look and see if anything needs changing.( The idea of doing that annually is entirely arbitrary and,for some of the companies in which I invest, makes no sense, but I think I'm aware of it) | djderry
27/3/2024 14:05 | Is it possible that institutions were selling in anticipation of the forced selling of Flutter this May? Just a thought. | rkeck
27/3/2024 13:03 | Look at the forecast and feel good | solarman2013
27/3/2024 12:57 | I hear you solarman. Just strange that the price climbed about 3% to £179.80 ish before falling fast. | rkeck
27/3/2024 12:43 | I think it's rather the old "buy on rumour, sell on news". the results show great and superb potential a knockout Q1 2024 calendar. | solarman2013
27/3/2024 12:33 | Does anyone have any insight on the price collapse (near 9% since yesterday mid morning)? A bit of me thinks the market thought the results were in £ for a couple of hours before realising they were $ figures. | rkeck
26/3/2024 14:30 | Based on Estimates:: A -3.66% miss on earnings Revenue in line with a +0.26% Results are fine. Nothing unexpected at least. | vraetorian |
