Knew one chap who returned to the UK from a really well paid job because he didn't want his kids to grow up with US values, and a girl we would call 'blue stocking' was viewed as a dangerous liberal out there!

Ah well, back to the gin.

Yeah, ruthless; make a business turn that someone doesn't like and quick as you can say "whistling dixie' you're in court!
Worked for one client negotiating a deal with an US business in South America and we were ordered, at no time, to ever land in US jurisdiction. Not even for no immigration transiting!

As the saying goes The business of America is Business!

In my day New York was terrifying 😊

Remember the slang for middle America is 'flyover country' llama.

I worked there for a very short while, so learned what a rapacious, punishing, hypocritical society it can be - something you miss totally as a visitor.

A friend, who emigrated there, called it The Land of the Free to Starve.

I remember the brown paper bag. But that was for different entertainment. I can’t imagine fever tree flying off the shelves in Alabama but I hope I’m wrong! My view of America is based on around 50 days in total and only in what I’d call good states! New York, California, Colorado and Florida. So a little limited perhaps! Hoping to go around New England once travel is allowed again...

Thanks for the memory Sogoesit 😊

Not sure about those drinking root beer but drinking alcohol (or "licker" as our cousins call it) is pretty widespread over the pond.
The main difference, as I recall from my youf, was that the less money we had the lower the concentration of mixer content went in to the drink! 🤪 .
(Not to forget that when carrying around drinks in brown paper bags in States like Oklahoma it's near impossible to hold the paper bag and put the mixer into the bottle in the bag without revealing the alcohol bottle!).

Hopefully, the marketing wizzes at FEVR have sussed this conundrum out!

This heat will dry completely the Fevertree drinks off the shelves.
The advertising campaign is achieving results on sales.

APAD - it's in the Trading Statement issued on 14th July, right at he beginning. It says "Interim Results on (8)th September 2020."

I have no idea why the brackets are there.

EDIT: I see now that I was beaten to it!

EDIT 2 : IQE have interims on the same day. Should be good news all round !

Where did you get the date from aiming?

Financial Calendar on the website says Sept. and I haven't noticed it in the rns.

Most interested.

The (short-term) bull points for me, are:

1. The US jobs, I posted earlier.

2. The way the off-trade has performed in lock down. Surprised, moi!

3. The continuing high prices in the UK.

I don't see any bear points in the offing.

Could be confirmation bias, as FEVR are 22% of my portfolio.

Interims are somewhen in September so there could well be strength in the run-up.

Topped up with another 1000 at £22.46. Anything under £22.50 seems cheap to me. GLA.

Cucumber is great. When I saw Hendricks on promo in Sainsbury’s with some of the naturally light ordinary tonic I think they missed a trick. Still haven’t seen the new peach soda in any shop. Anyone tried it?

Hmmm... missed my re-accumulation at roundabout 2150/2200.
Next major resistance about 2600 but maybe an opportunity will come round again.

Go on Llama, give us a clue on new flavours.
When I first saw cucumber I was a bit aghast but, on a recommendation, tried it with Hendricks and it flowed like the proverbial (I'm not sure there is a proverbial on that but that's the drift).
