2nd wave is old news. 3rd wave is already being talked about. This is good news for fever tree. Loads of people will be stocking up over the summer months to ensure they can still enjoy their bbqs. I have anyway. And my bbqs are GIGA so expect a massive jump in share price.

Breakout from long term downtrend confirmed and should presage an upward leg around + 30%. Let’s see.

"COVID-19 will have a material impact on FY20 trading..." from Fevertree's RNS just a few days ago.
Suspect they know more about it.

trying to go higher £20>>>>>>>>

sales going well now that openning up in bars in the US and soon in UK

They turned the corner, the impact of covid 19 will not materialise on FEVR as drinking indoors has risen.

Pubs and drinking establishments re-openning gradually.

Next milestone £22 then to £25.

On a TA basis we're now above the 200d MA...
Being a key metric for some long term investors will the trend continue to be our (long) friend...?

An 8% market share seems higher than I would have thought. They don’t get much shelf space, if they are sold at all. And most pubs don’t stock them. I would have thought more like 1% but what do I know...

So, 1 million bottles is about 1/400th the size of FEVR.
Will the "The perfect twin to your drink" guzzle into Fever?

It's a bit confusing the amount of competition there is out there and wondering whether they all make money like Fever?

Here's a list of 15!

In 2018 Fentimans net margin was 2.5% on £40m turnover (see Accounts at Companies House).
Double Dutch Ltd (UK) is classified as a small company and thus only files its balance sheet.

To put into context though, it’s just a member of the Heineken family that’s invested, not the Heineken brewing company.

Heineken family acquires stake in premium mixer brand Double Dutch
The Heineken family has acquired a minority stake in Double Dutch, the UK premium tonic and mixer brand.

The investment of just under 10%, provides new capital for Double Dutch, the brand owned by Dutch twin sisters Raissa and Joyce de Haas.

In addition, Michel de Carvalho, husband of Charlene Carvalho-Heineken, has joined the supervisory board of Double Dutch.

He said: “This is our first family venture into tonics and Double Dutch is an exciting brand with two driven, ambitious young Dutch women entrepreneurs behind it. No longer a startup brand, it has captured an 8% market share in the UK, which is testament to the founders’ hard work and tenacity. I see the growth in premium tonics continuing, with the demand for luxury soft drinks, healthier low sugar alternatives and unique mixers for exclusive variants of gin and vodka increasing, and Double Dutch fulfils all of those.”

Raissa de Haas said: “As well as being hugely exciting commercially, the relationship is a perfect cultural fit – both businesses are Dutch, family-owned and female-driven – we couldn’t be happier.”

Double Dutch was founded in 2015 and no sells more than one million bottles a month in more than 26 countries.

That’s because people like a good drink, in more ways than one :) being locked up inside can’t really harm them as much as some other companies. News from the US seems to generally be good. Probably will become the biggest market for fever tree soon.

Hi all,

My mate Peter @Conkers3 and myself did a Twin Petes Investing Podcast a few days ago and part of our discussion covers FEVR. We also chatted about the current situation in the Markets and covered loads of Stocks and as always a fair bit of general Portfolio Management educational stuff. Anyway, if you use Apple, Audioboom, Overcast or Spotify you can find it under the 'Conkers Corner' Channel (you want TPI Podcast 24) and you can find it on Soundcloud at the link below.

I hope you enjoy it and find it useful,

Cheers, WD

Fevertree will get a boost from advertising
Already seen a boost on the lockdown ,it has cleeared all the shelves in Tesco's,Morissons
We should see a rise to £25 by the end of the summer as the weather gets hotter

So company forecast about a 25% fall in overall sales for the lock down period.

How that filters down we will have to wait and see but I feel even allowing for some openings this summer a 20% fall yoy looks about right.

Strange about the hard seltzer opportunity. They already sell pre-mixed gin and tonic in the U.K. in bottles only I think? £2.75 in Tesco. It’s not a big step to making alcoholic drinks in cans is it? Especially as they now do soda waters. Apparently this is a massive trend in the US so seems like they are missing a trick here.
