APAD, regarding the Lex column - All I can say is 'No FT, No Comment'

They do a 4 week newspaper and digital subscription for just £1 that some may be interested in, as 'We live in Financial Times' ;)

In the UK £1 for 4 week trial and thereafter £13.50 a week for annual subscription.

(No marketing connection with the FT, etc).

[Of course they do free registration for certain other content.]

Interesting to note that after last year's 2015 FY announcement the FY16 consensus revenue estimate was under £71m until the mid May + profits warning, only then was it revised, but only to £78.5m

It is noteworthy that these spreadsheet gurus (aka Sell side equity analysts) are adopting the same tactics again by suggesting revenue growth of 20% for the current year. That look's nuts to me, thereby suggesting the share price still has huge upside in the context of LSD.

MW had a quick look at Lex in the newsagents. Miserly me.

Couldn't see anything new. What caught your eye?

A quote from the Chronic Investor today naming Shore Capital's view:

"Analysts at Shore Capital expect adjusted pre-tax profits of £38.1m for the year ending December 2017, giving EPS of 26.8p (from £34.8m and 24.7p in 2016)."

Obviously, in their view, there's no more growth.
Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me; but then I'm a shareholder and they're analysts!

I hope shareholders started singing along the Fever-Tree anthem lyrics in the 'Introduction to Fever-Tree Premium Natural Mixers' earlier in the day.

Hey, wally, you fancy coming to the Beach Polo at Sandbanks.
You're welcome to join me later in the year if you like!
Actually, just set up a new thread, it could be quite entertaining!

Positive comment from iii editor:

......'Given many of these numbers were flagged in Fevertree's bullish update in January, meaning no further upgrades Tuesday, it was no surprise to see heavy profit taking early on.

Indeed, Fevertree shares now trade on around 52 times forward earnings, way above multiples for soft drink peers and enough to jangle nerves among some of the more jittery shareholders.

But Phil Carroll at Shore Capital remains optimistic.

"The business is delivering growth that is significantly stronger and at higher margins than the peer group whilst generating strong cash flows and returns on invested capital," he says.

"We still believe Fevertree is capable of delivering further upgrades as we progress through the year given its excellent brand and product proposition and a lack of effective competition.

"Should there be a 'weaker' period of growth that disappoints the market, we would see this as an opportunity to acquire the stock."

Nicola Mallard at Investec Securities also repeats her 'buy' rating and upgrades her price target from 1,300p to 1,675p.'

Guys apologies for the naive post here, but what will it take for this company to go from the AIM to the FTSE 250/100?

Cheers, [voter] enjoy your Fever-Tree.

Or more probably that disgusting Schweppes! More to your taste I guess, that explains your actions - too much aspartame, etc, gone to your head perhaps?

Well, it appears the thumbs down super-duper poster has lost their tongue - must be giving Fever-tree the thumbs down perhaps. Maybe the 'chronic investor' - don't blame you personally, never read the article just post the link! Lol!

Perhaps you should talk to my Budgerigar/Parakeet Widget

Anyway when I asked Widget the Parakeet what he thought the Fever-Tree share price would do [short-term], and his response was down:

LOL!

;)
