Yes I think it's fairly clear now what type of 'investor' jailbird is. Talk it down, buy it up, sell it off.

Not need to feel envy Does not mean I did not see a trade Sentiment and volume is my signal , it may go higher still. Co has turned the corner. But looks good to make pilot plant cash flow positive which will support the share price .I just want to see the BFS.But it has now derisked a little for me as cash will not be a worry

This FAR move today looks like it is part of Mick Davis $300m SPAC plan...

so really could just be the start

Green revolution

Davis is a well-known name in the mining industry as he led Xstrata from a $500 million business in the early part of the last decade to an operation so big that — at one point — it made a takeover offer for Anglo American (LON:AAL).

In 2012, he sold Xstrata to Glencore (LON: GLEN) and ventured into setting up X2 Resources, a mining fund that was unable to score any deals in three years after launch.

Davis did not get discouraged by that failure. In 2019, he co-founded Niron Metals, an investment vehicle involved in bringing Guinea’s Zogota iron ore deposit into production.

The mining veteran now wants to seize the opportunity presented by the increasing need for battery metals, which include a host of materials from vanadium through to lithium, graphite, nickel, and cobalt.

Davis warned last month that the supply of those materials was not keeping pace with demand growth. He said that the need for battery metals would “dwarf anything the mining industry has ever seen before, including the commodity impact of China’s industrialization in the last 20 years.”

“It’s a gold rush on steroids,” Simon Moores, managing director of Benchmark Mineral Intelligence, told the Financial Times. “You’ve got the emergence of this green revolution where you have to build infrastructure from scratch. It’s not just China this time, it’s North America at the same time as China, and Europe at the same time as China.”

Typo *have seen stocks valued after BFS and funding ready for constructionIf BFS was already in place , I would value this higher

25p market cap is $150m I do expect to see that sort of price until BFS has been announced .Might be short term excitement and hot money trying it to drive this higher but I think it will settle down between 10-15p eventually .Just my thoughts I could be wrong of course , but just looking at how I have seen sticks valued after BFS and funding ready to construction

Well they're not BOD options in the normal use of the word 'options'. More like investor options. But the prices are certainly significant IMO...

Thomas good to have you on board too.Say what you like about Bridgen, but he's pulled off a very positive funding package here...

That's correct Mesb, there aren't any options outstanding AFAIK, and just a few small local bonds issued over the last 12 months (around $1M IIRC).

Plus the new funding announced today is just straightforward equity (the CLNs can be considered as equity), without millions of cheap warrants that get issued when a cr*ppy potless AIM microcap has to issue their next confetti placing. FAR is a main market listed, credible company (especially after today).

DYOR etc

agree on the 500m shares eventually. one nice thing too (someone please correct me if you know otherwise) is there aren't millions of outstanding warrants or share options to further dilute. really like the structure of this so we can see the price of future equity issues. will help sustain momentum and avoid the destructive uncertainty that has inflicted the progress of the share price on the likes of HZM, EML etc. - wish they'd done deals like this one.

One of my great concerns about FAR was Nick Bridgen, he was CEO of Hambledon Mining in Kaz and seemed out of his depth with issue after issue, he gave the impression he just "bumbled along" rather than provided leadership and drive.

When I looked at FAR over the last years I saw the same lack of determination and drive as at Hambledon and so only took at small stake here because the asset is amazing.

Make no mistake this RNS changes everything with a man like Mick Davis as chairman, I would be surprised to Nick in post in 12 months time.

The bit I found most comforting was :-

"An agreement and joint initiative to recruit additional members to the management team to ensure that the necessary skills and leadership are in place to take the Balausa Project into production."

I have loaded up this morning and will increase as the story unfolds, the dilution is a small price to pay to actually get this into production IMO.

As Bridgen says in the latest Proactive interview, they now have more than enough money to to everything they need to do.One key for me is that (as I mentioned above) I believe FAR will shortly have enough cash to start ordering long lead-time equipment even before the finalisation of a debt funding deal. This should ensure completion of Stage 1 as soon as possible. If we now assume an eventual 500M shares in issue long-term, the current market cap at 15p is still very undervalued IMO. The company have a colossal, strategically-located, very cheap resource of an in-demand mineral... And now the money and the board expertise to exploit it!NAI

Still digesting the funding and dilution Working out total dilution and impact to market cap .The $3m cannot complete the furnace and power line . BFS will cost a little bit more as it now will be to the standard required .This will unlock the value and allow VRB to invest further .Looks like VRB gave taken off take rights to .taken a lot lot more of the Co than originally expected . but NB had no choice as he needed the $3m now .Greatest news is that new Chairman and looks like more new executives will follow . NB could not deliver this on his own.I would expect an institution to come on board , so maybe NB may have his shares already lined up at an agreed price .Let the dust settle now

If all of the VB investment eventually takes place, it will end up being a roughly 50% dilution from the previous market cap. That's higher than my earlier estimate of 20-30%, but that's life. When the large Stage 2 operation is in production and debt paid off (perhaps 5 years' time) it means my notional/approximate target share price of about 800p will be reduced to about 500p... I can live with that LOL ?Oh and not forgetting fat divis in the fullness of time either...No advice intended of course. There are still risks on FAR, but they have decreased substantially today IMO
