01/4/2019 11:16 | I have posted this a couple of times before, but shall post again. From 6 April 2016 dividends up to £5,000 are not chargeable to UK tax so if your dividend is below that amount there will be no need to use the Swiss tax credit as there will be no UK charge against which to set it. So let's say your dividend is 5p and then a special dividend payment of 5p, making a total of 10p per share annual dividend payment. You would therefore need to own more than 50,000 shares in FXPO to have an annual dividend payment of £5,000. Only at that point would you then need to pay the extra SWT above this amount. So for those of us who are not lucky enough to have more than 50,000 FXPO shares we have very little to concern ourselves with in relation to SWT. And if the shares are to soon rise above £3.00 ps, then a few quid in SWT for those having more than 50,000 shares would be small beer in relation to the gains in share price It's about balance. 01/4/2019 09:41 | Haha..automatically retyped/ spell checked to sipping!! Sipp obviously | sarahbudd
01/4/2019 09:40 | You need to contact your Sipping provider...neither my sipping nor ISA will claim the tax as they say too much paperwork, and all all pooled too difficult. You can claim if you hold in UK trading account through self assessment though... | sarahbudd
31/3/2019 11:58 | I hold 10,000 Shares in FXPO and want to reclaim a portion of the Swiss Withholding Tax which is 35%!! I have discovered from the UK Government Website that under the double taxation agreement between UK and Switzerland that I must be liable to UK Tax on all the income for which I want to make a claim. As the shares are in my SIPP Drawdown Account I am not liable for tax and therefore cannot claim from the Swiss Authorities. Does anyone on this thread have experience of this complex issue? | portugull
29/3/2019 14:21 | yes foxy22. The vote in parliament today is a big concern as weirdly a yes vote might help share prices in short term but I hope for a NO as a remainer ! ( smile ). So many dummies with posh accents in the Tory party . | arja
29/3/2019 09:20 | A r j aYes fmg past 7.00 amazing hopefully Fxpo follows back up....Amzing...at beginning of year was a dud share.... | foxy22

21/3/2019 08:51 | So - virtually back to where we were three or four days ago. A blip that offered a chance to top up. Only another couple of weeks until delayed results posted. £3 anyone? BB | bellbottom

19/3/2019 16:35 | Reasonable bounce back. What a chance missed to sell yesterday and buy back this am. Should keep climbing back tomorrow then?! BB | bellbottom
19/3/2019 16:18 | and what a recovery . Wish i had not been trading another stock as much more to make in FXPO if buying near the day's low ! well dome to anyone who did , | arja
19/3/2019 14:11 | Recovering | sarahbudd
19/3/2019 09:27 | Can't quite comprehend the drop today. Ok, the market doesn't like the unexpected and shares get punished for stepping out of line. But this is not any 'foul play' on the part of Ferrexpo we are talking about here. Blooming Land are the charity supposedly managing the funds paid to it by Ferrexpo as part of Ferrexpo's social and medical funding. Yes, they need to get to the bottom of it to finalise the accounts, but I believe Ferrexpo are squeaky clean here and any share drop as a result of this Blooming Land issue will be a temporary blip. I do wish I'd sold yesterday like I was tempted to do, in order to buy back later, but that's history now. I do note that my entire portfolio is in the red today, so it's likely there is something else factored into the FXPO drop. Expect a nice bounce later today. BB | bellbottom
19/3/2019 09:17 | This company never fails to shoot itself in the foot whenever we start to climb the ladder. | tygarreg
19/3/2019 08:46 | If you look back to when review first announced in Feb, they dropped to 240 then...and recovered | sarahbudd
19/3/2019 08:43 | always some risk when holding individual stocks I guess and insiders get the news before the small punters . | arja
19/3/2019 08:23 | I sold first thing this morning. Delayed results whilst they try and work out how much money has been taken? Can't invest in a company whilst that is going on. | liam1om
19/3/2019 08:21 | I'd be tempted to bin them now given today's news. Could there be a nasty hole in the accounts? | villarich
18/3/2019 13:36 | £3 - great, but unless the prelim results exceed expectations by a considerable amount, then I would expect the usual drop back after results announced, before the slow climb back to existing levels (250-270) I am tempted to sell at this level and buy back Wed/Thurs - but given my track record of such trades, I'd be better holding - Whatever I do, the opposite will occur. 18/3/2019 09:36 | Bell bottomCan we see 3 quid this week | foxy22
18/3/2019 09:05 | AriaShould fly this weekVale cuts and low grade ore closing gapFmg up 4.8% in oz | foxy22
14/3/2019 13:57 | Preliminary Results next Wednesday. Expectations? Normally, one expects a slow climb up until results announced and then a drop back after announcement, even if results good. But we are not living in 'normal' times. BB | bellbottom |
