always some risk when holding individual stocks I guess and insiders get the news before the small punters .

I sold first thing this morning. Delayed results whilst they try and work out how much money has been taken? Can't invest in a company whilst that is going on.

I'd be tempted to bin them now given today's news. Could there be a nasty hole in the accounts?

£3 - great, but unless the prelim results exceed expectations by a considerable amount, then I would expect the usual drop back after results announced, before the slow climb back to existing levels (250-270) I am tempted to sell at this level and buy back Wed/Thurs - but given my track record of such trades, I'd be better holding - Whatever I do, the opposite will occur. Preliminary Results next Wednesday. Expectations? Normally, one expects a slow climb up until results announced and then a drop back after announcement, even if results good. But we are not living in 'normal' times. BB

foxy22, I hope you got out of AML before results . Seems that 132 million spent on public offering and would have had a profit otherwise . What a large amount to pay but these brokers like to get rich quuickly - disgraceful !

Stockhead: "Perhaps most surprisingly with the Brazilian iron ore event was the scale of what happened, and while no-one should downplay the deaths of at least 200 people, the lost production amounts to an estimated 50 million tonnes in an annual seaborne iron ore market of around 1 billion tonnes. In other words, it only took the removal of around 5 per cent of production, and most probably a temporary cut at that, to drive the iron ore price up by more than 30 per cent, taking pure play iron ore stocks such as Fortescue Metals (ASX:FMG) up by 50 per cent, and enough to add around $2 billion to the personal fortune of that company’s biggest shareholder, Andrew Forrest. Because Brazil is likely to make up the iron ore shortfall over the rest of 2019 by ramping up output from other mines, it would be unwise for investors to assume that the recent dam disasters will be a long-term factor in the iron ore price. But it would also be wise to recognise just how finely balanced the iron ore (and other markets) are, and how old mines have a habit of delivering unpleasant surprises."

strong sterling has affected the UK price of S32 of course and it is why it is better to trade it on OZ market as then no need to consider FX effect./ Expecting to return to OZ in about a year .
