14/12/2009 12:08 | 26.5K traded already and only 1500 of them sells. Not sure why you want to sell 1500 at this moment in time, but each to their own. | snurkle1
14/12/2009 11:08 | Indeed! Nice rise! Just need to sit and wait for 'fireworks' from 2010! | honestjim2
14/12/2009 10:51 | Same here, but look at it from this angle... you're in profit already. Well done! | snurkle1
14/12/2009 10:14 | Bought into these on Friday and now have a complete set of FI shares! Rather remiss to leave it till now really. | honestjim2
14/12/2009 09:41 | Very steady buying this morning. Over 12K bought sofar. I've topped up myself. Couldn't resist and find it unlikely to pick these up very much cheaper before end of January. | snurkle1
12/12/2009 14:02 | But they are negotiating to use DES's rig in the first half...... | ![]() eburne1960
12/12/2009 11:33 | I do not expect any drilling results until Q4 2010. Length of rig's voyage. Set up time. Sea depth. Drill depth. Southern hemisphere winter. Too long to wait. | racoon river
12/12/2009 03:05 | P.P.S Etrade accepted my order for FOGL shares which should not be possible as per the RNS. | paulbjboot
12/12/2009 02:59 | P.S how do I get rid of the 'edit' tag????? | paulbjboot
12/12/2009 02:54 | Can anyone define the exact relationship between FIH and FOGL apart from the former holds about 10% of FOGL Shares. I understood that the companies were two legally seperate entities and FIH is just like any other shareholder, not a parent company. For instance the placing of FOGL shares on Nov 26th imposes a restriction on US investors as per the wording in the RNS. But does that restriction also affect FIH shares? E*Trade USA has blocked purchase of FIH shares but and here i think they boobed they accepted my order for FOGL shares. They seem to have read the FOGL RNS restriction as applying to FIH | paulbjboot
11/12/2009 16:18 | Main buy tip in the Investor's Chronicle, reiterating the "picks & shovels" argument that's been put forward on this board. | ![]() eburne1960
11/12/2009 11:08 | Well done. Good luck 'tomorrow'. Sleep tight! | snurkle1
11/12/2009 11:03 | PS to post 825 - thanks for your help, FIH did reply with the name/address of their broker, I'll try them - I'm off to bed now , its 3.00 am here - Goodnight | paulbjboot
11/12/2009 11:01 | Have you got a UK postal address? If so then create an account with a UK broker and go from there. Bank don't have any say in where or how you spend your money. Tax related issues might be slightly more complicated, but I'm sure there are ways around that as well. There are loopholes for virtually everything. The hardest thing is finding them. | snurkle1
11/12/2009 10:56 | Yes I do but as a 'US Person' i.e resident in California, I am told by my bank I have to buy shares through a US broker on US exchanges - something to do with SEC rules - wierd! | paulbjboot
11/12/2009 10:48 | Just checking Paul, do you have a UK bank account? | snurkle1
11/12/2009 10:41 | Buys going through on AIM at 438p which is quite a bit above the stated Ask price. Not sure why this is - possible a premium for T+20? | ![]() biglosses
11/12/2009 10:27 | Thanks snurkle1, It's frustrating seeing this one get away and i cannot buy any here in USA. Like you I think this is a great share with plenty upside. (alias paulbjboot) | pbjboo2
11/12/2009 10:21 | Sorry Paul, can't help you. Would if I could. | snurkle1
11/12/2009 10:10 | Re my post 816. Tried to contact FIH Investor relations but noone seems to answer emails there. Does anyone have the an email address of anyone at FIH who might respond to my query? | paulbjboot
11/12/2009 10:00 | What really draws me to this share are the fact that it is very low risk now the rig is on its way, the very few (very tightly held)amount of shares in circulation and within the creation of the 'new' town, there would be hardly any sign of recession / depression. It's almost like starting a fresh economy with real money. | snurkle1
11/12/2009 09:31 | Snurkle - yes. The most fascinating thing for me is how the Board are going to play the risk associated with FOGL. Recent RNS has covered the short-term stance. But what about the longer term after Toroa? Presume we shall get another statement after Toroa drilled. Personally, I was disapponited to see 20% of their FOGL sold at £1.18 (within a penny or two). Would have expected them to hold until drilling starts at Toroa so as to get a higher share price on the sale. However, perhaps the cash was needed. There's the Gosport pontoon where we have heard nothing. There was a hint in the recent RNS that an opportunity might have presented in the FI - or that's how I read it. All in all, an interesting year in prospect. Think Tempus in the Times was right to recomend the share recently. | ![]() whackford
11/12/2009 08:30 | Looks like people are waking up to the safe bet Falkland Oil story. | snurkle1
10/12/2009 18:18 | Why can't I buy these shares in USA? They are listed on OTC/Pink Sheet Markets. Is it because of the FOGL placing? In which case when does the trading in USA resume? Anyone know? I sent a message to FIHplc but got no reply. | paulbjboot |
