31/8/2007 08:04 | Their cash ? They, are also deciding where our cash is going. | colonel a
30/8/2007 17:51 | Interesting to see 1.7% of the issued share capital change hands in a single trade today. Perhaps they are getting to close to finalising where their cash will be going? | mike111d
16/8/2007 10:26 | Why would anybody take out CFD's on something like this unless they had information ? And why mark it up on no trades under these conditions ? | colonel a
31/7/2007 08:23 | With the cost of capital rising they should be able to drive a hard bargain | hindsight
23/7/2007 23:00 | Hopefully we'll wake up one day to a done deal and 40-50p share price. | andypace
23/7/2007 09:57 | Quiet here .... A few rumours would be nice :-) | julianl
06/7/2007 08:26 | Not much downside at this price. Company is worth 21p in cash. Interest on the cash should easily cover operating expenses, so if no deal is done we should still get about 21p back next year. I wouldn't be surperised if Gartmore already have someone in mind.... | andypace
06/7/2007 07:40 | not much point in opposing it otherwise. Gartmore are normally known to be activist shareholders, so its quite a bold move by them. | mad3it
06/7/2007 07:38 | EGM today....the motion to liquidate will be opposed by at least 2 large shareholders (including Gartmore). They want to reverse a.n.other company into the shell that is now Evolutec. I would confidently expect this will result in more than 21p to shareholders in the end | randomwalker
05/7/2007 10:17 | Brought a few over the last couple of days for my sins, a takeover of a private company which normally lifts cash shells over cash value, a decent cash return of 18%,or a take out for the cash and tax losses (£18m in last 2 years) but then I doubt many bios need tax losses | hindsight
02/7/2007 16:33 | so what happens now? | pugg1ey
02/7/2007 13:07 | seems like very good news. | cyberpost
23/6/2007 16:14 | I emailed the company about the Merial option but didn't get a reply, Looks like they're already starting to shut up shop! Can't help thinking that if Merial do exercise the option there maybe royalty payments in a few years time. Has anyone else seen a similar situation? Andy | andypace
08/6/2007 16:48 | I bought some a while back. It makes sense to hold, but I won't be adding. | wiganer
08/6/2007 14:32 | Cyberpost... I have some already and if the offer price improves I might well take more. But, there is risk. They might overspend in the liquidation. Even if there were only a delay in the return it could mean 15% over two years and there are plenty of places which offer that with limited risk. The plus being that even if the 21.3 is only mildly conservative the return could be significantly better, or now that a target has been set a last minute bidder might come in. | colonel a
08/6/2007 11:06 | colonel... a circa near guaranteed 15% return.. is safe wouldnt you think ? doesnt matter what happens to the markets, you will get a 15% return. where else could you get a near guaranteed 15% return ? | cyberpost
08/6/2007 11:03 | I don't know about a safe haven. Surely the safe haven is cash - if anybody thinks this is more than just a correction they will presumably either go short or sit it out. I think you're lonely because the MM's are taking the #### A 9% effective spread on a non-volatile share which is being sold to them in numbers is not making a market. IMO an honest price to buy would be < 17.5 and at that they would be interesting home for money which can be risked but is not used elsewhere. But there is always risk. The cash return calculation should err on the side of caution but the 21.3p is not guaranteed. Also you may have to wait a long time for your full return. Early 2008 would be OK, but it could be late or even slip into 2009. | colonel a
08/6/2007 09:48 | I'm feeling rather lonely being the only person to buy these shares in the last week. Surely this share could be seen as quite a safe haven if the market turns ugly. | ben value
05/6/2007 15:26 | like jay says. I can't believe the IP is worth f$$k all | pugg1ey
05/6/2007 14:49 | I guess they'll remain in this ballpark till towards October. Given that they've been trying to flog the company for a few months, its unlikely that a counter bidder will suddenly appear. A low risk buy at 19p or lower imo, but all the potential excitement appears to be over. | mad3it
05/6/2007 14:30 | And it's nice to see the MM's behaving ethically.
Current effective spread 17.25 to 19.0 with no expectation that the price will move much, or risk if they're left long. | colonel a
05/6/2007 10:17 | so who ends up owning the IP - or are they basically saying that it worthless? | jay083
05/6/2007 09:01 | They dont mention when in 2008 final payment will be made but hopefully its early | hugepants
05/6/2007 08:42 | Has to be mildy good news to those who've bought at current levels. 21.3p should {you would hope} be a conservative estimate and it gives a very clear target level to anybody interested in any ongoing projects. But yes, disappointing, a bit of a let down. | colonel a |
