29/1/2007 18:18 | It seems that there have been a couple/few new shareholders willing to take that risk since the bad news a few weeks ago. Perhaps they think that buying shares in a company valued at approximately 2/3 of its cash in bank level is not such a risk. My small holding is because of that too. | frank spencer
29/1/2007 17:57 | cash as at 31 Dec 8.7m... might be worth a punt? | wh0sthedaddy
29/1/2007 15:19 | These tutes aren't buying a "bombed out" microcap for a laugh... | wiganer

19/1/2007 19:52 | Take out price opinions , please , too Seems only aspect left that will give any near term prospect of gain... (Can't believe I'm thinking of averaging down...) | mr.oz
19/1/2007 19:05 | landmark4 i agree. Bought in without even looking at any figures, didnt even know what the company did! With so many large houses building positions such as this & in such a short period of time it cant be long before something is going to happen. What i dont understand though is why there is so little chatter about the company, & with such obvious large scale buying of major institutions why isn't everyone (PI's) getting a piece of the pie? Any suggestions or ideas on who predator company might be and price predictions after? Would an offer be likely at this time for Evolutec? Sorry to anyone who thinks i might be clogging the thead with poor chat, just eager to gain as much PI info as possible. Flip | fliparoo2
17/1/2007 17:49 | Almost certainly major houses are expecting a bid in the near future Landmark | landmark4
16/1/2007 12:45 | new to the stock & thread- what are people's mid term expectations? seems like a great deal of interest from major houses at start of January, adding up the holding interests (roughly, please excuse my figures) it seems like about 85% of the issued cap has been sighted by 10 big players... are they thinking long term growth or is this about to shoot? eager for views Flip | fliparoo2
15/1/2007 10:23 | Nice to see continuing strength. Does look like overhang was cleared out last week. | wiganer
12/1/2007 19:07 | Exactly right Pugg. The cash gives a certain amount of protection and real value; the staff, work in progress and potential give it a value of a highly subjective nature. | frank spencer
12/1/2007 10:34 | remember its not just about the cash. They have some IP on molecules whilst not efficacious in the recent trials with slight modifications may be of use in other clinical indications. I would be very surprised if a few biotech/pharma companies were not taking an interest in EVC at these levels. | pugg1ey
12/1/2007 09:25 | indeed i total agree. I'm pretty sure however that i have read somewhere that this figure had reduced i'll post it if i find it! | lomaximus
12/1/2007 09:11 | "now dropped a large amount due to them stopping trials on rEV131." they only stopped R&D work 2 weeks ago. they still need to pay off the payables. If you read the broker note, they do a thorough analysis of what their NET cash levels would be. The company only stated their cash levels, not their NET cash levels. Its always prudent to err on the cautious side. | madh4tter
12/1/2007 09:08 | hmmm i need english lessons | lomaximus
12/1/2007 09:08 | unfortunately i cant guess on exact figures but i guess it will back to the to a third of that figure like before they started trials. | lomaximus
12/1/2007 09:05 | yes your are right i havent got to that yet however this has now dropped a large amount due to them stopping trials on rEV131. | lomaximus
12/1/2007 08:33 | lomax what are "Trade and other payables" ? its money that is owed to traders. Its not in the creditors sections but still money owed to other people. Its in the balance sheet, take a look again. | madh4tter
12/1/2007 08:25 | they've been partying every night! | lomaximus
12/1/2007 08:23 | From what i can see if you check details from the source its not showing any creditors either. Heres a link | lomaximus
