lets be a little careful though....

It is true that the reported cash is about 33.5p per share as at 31 December which looks attractive at a 15p share price. However the company have spent about £7m in the six months to December and while spending should now slow down, future cash burn will depend on whether they continue with any further trials. There will also be ongoing admin costs and any dramatic reduction of overhead is likely to create a one off exceptional charge.

The question must be whether the company is to turn into a cash shell and how much cash will remain?? What assets or IP really have significant value?

Not unexpected I'm afraid.

Further falls seem likely now.

It is not just the research, it is the people that someone might want to buy. The cash position just makes them free; good innovative pharma minds are rare....the odd failure is to be expected. I will now invest.

Pre market price down 25% but, yes, I agree the cash cover looks tempting but what is creditor position and wind-up costs which will make a hole in this cash position. Additionaly what would someone pay for the research on on going products?

This is getting to be one of those opportunities where the market gets it wrong.
ALthough this mornings news is dissapointing they have confirmed that their cash position at end of December is over £8m that equals over 30p a share and they have no debt. I am happy to buy at 15p knowing that this is covered by 30p of cash. Even if they pulled the plug today and redistributed the cash to shareholders you would double your money.

I assume there is a sell order to be filled as I don't see how a 50K buy drops the price 8%

A drop from 140ish to 20p is silly. Anything is possible with this share. Be careful 12p on the cards. IMO
