01/5/2013 12:11 | you cant beat these russian types at chess. you have to admire them. if they succeed in picking this up very cheaply because there are not enough votes outside of Kazakhstan to stop it is a master stroke. check mate. no doubt the so called idiots who allowed it to be listed were well rewarded. | careful
01/5/2013 11:16 | The IDIOTS who allowed this to be listed in London as an FTSE 100 company be investigated and sued. | hvs
01/5/2013 06:36 | I'd be happy with 320. They should never have been allowed to list given their dubious record keeping, but I think thats one of the reasons they will be taken out. | dr biotech
30/4/2013 22:33 | My guess is 3.75, book at Kaz. | racg
30/4/2013 21:20 | Wonder about the buy price then?? "The actual minority investor base is very small ... they do not need to come up with that much cash to pay a reasonable premium," one of ENRC's top 20 investors said. "If this went out at 250 pence (per share), then everyone would say that they would never ever look at anything from Kazakhstan again. The government will not want that to happen." | smurfy2001
29/4/2013 15:03 | These two guys are a few weeks too late with their shorts. KAZ and ENRC will each rise approx 40% before any significant drop. Timing guys, timing. | shammytime

29/4/2013 11:37 | If the SFO are on the case, l would not touch. | smurfy2001
29/4/2013 09:45 | I doubt the Oligarchs want their affairs being questioned too closely - a buyout would effectively render the SFO toothless. The only UK operation they have is the HQ - close that and then its a foreign company. A bid makes sense on that score. | dr biotech
29/4/2013 09:30 | Pretty serious allegations and damming press over weekend. But share price maintains. As karmastuartra mentions these are allegations at this stage. | p bear
29/4/2013 06:53 | The TimesAgain, mining shares led the way: downwards this time. Again, Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation swung farther than the rest. It was RBC Capital that ostensibly provided the catalyst for the controversial Kazakh miner's latest 19¾p fall to 269¼p.To recap, these are shares that changed hands for more than £14 in 2008, for about 750p in January last year, for as much as 423p in February and as little as 237p last month, dogged by allegations of corruption and speculation of a fundraising, by heavy debt and ballooning costs.More recently, they rallied to within a whisker of 300p after a possible plan to take it private was flushed out.The founding oligarchs and the Kazakh Government, which own 56 per cent between them, confirmed that they might buy the rest. The chairman went. Macquarie told clients still holding the shares: "GET OUT NOW WHILE YOU STILL CAN". The Serious Fraud Office opened a criminal inquiry into fraud at ENRC. | illuminati1
29/4/2013 05:17 | substantiate the allegations first! | karmastuartra
28/4/2013 19:25 | You're right HVS! Rethink listing rules after ENRC, says top shareholder The Government and regulators must urgently re-draw the UK's listing rules to stop foreign firms with lapsed controls from being presented as premium stocks, a leading shareholder has warned, as fresh details emerged of the crisis at miner ENRC. His call emerged after the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) on Thursday launched a criminal investigation into ENRC. As part of its inquiry, it will examine more than $100m (£64m) of payments to offshore accounts, The Sunday Telegraph revealed. The accounts were being scrutinised by Dechert, the law firm sacked in controversial circumstances by ENRC this month. A letter sent to ENRC by Dechert after it was fired makes claims that the internal investigation discovered "payments to African presidents", according to The Sunday Times. ENRC said there was "no evidence to substantiate these allegations". | smurfy2001
28/4/2013 07:57 | allegations being investigated by a professional outfit like sfo this time, not in house.this will take time and probably come to nothing. | karmastuartra
