karateboy: Yes, they've put a target price of 320p.

And Citigroup who have just reiterated their sell, target price of 270p (someone ought to tell them that today's share price at close was 243p!).

UBS are telling clients that they see recent price weakness as a buying opportunity despite the company's stretched balance sheet and the risk of dilutive equity issuance to meet FTSE free-float requirements, amongst other factors.

you boys that think that kaz or enrc could go bust need to know a little about balance sheets before you invest.

enrc have some very desirable assets.
$20bn in total.
if they needed cash to avoid bankruptcy they could sell some.

Markets gone well ahead of reality..and now they know a price correction is unavoidable!!
Good while they could keep the bubble inflated..game over!
Target 79p. Hope it helps

U.S. stocks fell sharply on Friday, with equities in position for their worst week this year, after the government said the economy added far fewer jobs than forecast in March, clarifying the view of an economic soft patch.

"Welcome back to tempered expectations. We don't think the wheels have fallen off the economy, but we don't think it ever had the momentum that some people believed," said Bruce McCain, chief investment strategist at Key Private Bank in Cleveland.

"That's what makes for market corrections," he added.

Payrolls increased by 88,000 last month following a revised 268,000 gain in February, with the disappointing report following two others this week that also cast a negative view on the labor market.

"We can now add the monthly employment report to the growing list of data points that simply haven't met expectations," Dan Greenhaus, chief global strategist at BTIG LLC in New York, said in emailed comments.

last nights japan announcement about huge QE bond purchases is a game changer.
as much as the usa but for a smaller economy.
Then that agreement between chines and a russian miner.

...a trend is developing, the centre of gravity is moving east.

Added a few more of these today (right at the top), but a good deal lower than my last lot. Using trading "income" to buy the paper here, so no real pressure. Reminds me of when I was in Northern Rock.....

with japan about to stop talking and start printing at last they will all be at it.
ambrose evans pritchard in todays dt says some people suggest they should reduce government debts everywhere by just pressing a button and really creating 'super qe'.
QE in its present will never stop they say.
do they think we are stupid,we already know that.
real assets, miners etc, particularly those with gearing, will prosper more than you can imagine.

durby: Thank you for your response (did you attend the AGM?). The point I was making was that the collatoral is not something that other shareholders can verify so it is just another tool in the shorter's toolbox.

P.S. careful: I'd say that was a strong bounce :)
