wont be surprised if this opens up with an offer for
remaining shares at 3.75 each, well below
the float price and a steal to the russians.

I've sold my shares this morning and opened a SB for a similar amount with a guaranteed stop loss at 250. Its cost about 5p a share but its worth the protection should a bid not occur or they do decide to try and delist.

nolens volens: You're splitting hairs... Kaz did a writedown of their ENRC investment and it's now valued at 375p a share so that is the important figure to consider and the point I was making is that it's much higher than the current share price.

Anyway I'll leave you to continue with your petty sniping with the other posters on this thread as my current position with ENRC is not to have one.

My parting shot is that the SFO have now moved to a formal investigation into potential fraud, bribery and corruption so you have exciting times ahead. Good luck with that.

cfb2 Kaz bought at much higher than £3.75 - this is information which would have been available to you with just a little research.

Ch1ck: Yes, I'm now out of these. The basis of Macquarie's argument was that there was only an 18% freefloat and that ENRC were therefore more likely to delist. However, Kaz hold 26% of ENRC and bought at around 375p so this complicates things.

There is no problem with shareholders continuing to hold after the delisting and creating a market between themselves but for me the problem is that some sort of deal could be made between Kaz and ENRC to shaft holders once FTSE market rules no longer apply. I'd only be happy to continue holding a delisted company if their HQ were in the UK or US.

Again, this could all be a ruse to make a bid at a cutdown price.

UBS analysts eye ENRC bid

The bank's experts said an offer could be "significantly above market value". As dealers picked over the troubling implications of Mehmet Dalman's resignation as chairman of potenial bid target Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation , analysts had better news for traders, speculating a blockbuster offer for the miner could be in the works. The experts at UBS (Berlin: UBRA.BE - news) noted that the consortium of three founding ENRC investors and the Kazakh government considering an offer for the group are likely to bid for both Kazakhmys (LSE: KAZ.L - news) 's 26pc stake in the company as well as ENRC's free float, because the suitors would need 75pc shareholder approval to take the miner private. That, the analysts argued, meant an offer may be "significantly above market value", as Kazakhmys is likely to "leverage" its influential position to "extract optimal value for itself and ENRC minority shareholders". Kazakhmys, they said, was unlikely to agree to an offer of less than 375p a share - the value at which it recently wrote down its ENRC stake - while a bid of 540p - ENRC's 2007 flotation price - was also possible. That would be a significantly premium to yesterday's close of 280.7p, down 1.6p. If the consortium did make a knock-out bid for ENRC it would be "materially positive" for Kazakhmys's own share price, the UBS analysts concluded. The optimistic assessment helped Kazakhmys advance 23.94 to 359p on the FTSE 250, taking into account the shares were trading without right to the latest dividend

KAZ have this at 375p in their books. What do you think they will accept an offer at? IPO was 540P.

ENRC loses four senior executives

Kazakhstan miner Eurasian Natural Resources Corp (ENRC) has lost four senior executives as controlling shareholders consider buyout.

The trio of Kazakh oligarchs behind the blue chip miner said they were considering a buy-out of the company, news which sent the shares up 27pc. ENRC has been dogged by corporate governance issues since floating in London, and the UK Listing Authority has asked that the group increase its free float to 25pc from 18pc by January 2014 or exit the FTSE 100.

Under Takeover Panel rules, the consortium has until 5pm on May 17 to announce a firm intention to offer for ENRC, or to state they will not proceed.
