It is neutral, I agree. However I believe there will be some more interesting newsflow soon rather than the interminable warrants / funding ones. We'll have a new chairman shortly and potentially news on how field trials are going .. I don't think it'll take much to move the needle

LSE seem to think this is positive - IMHO positive is you are getting sales so no need for another dilution.

IMHO this is neutral news at best.

Also why no 5G disclosure?

I'm not selling any shares - I'm in for the med-long term.

I think it is disrespectful to be deliberately not transparent about the price.

The whole deal was a sweet one for 5G - - good to have it for an emergency funding facility but not something I would have used for general cash if I had the choice.

I agree would have been good to have a proper trading statement. But the announcement did say this:"given the recent progress by Ethernity in executing its growth plans, Ethernity and 5G Fund have agreed to accelerate those investments"But also this:"The proceeds from this third tranche investment will be used by the Company for general corporate and working capital purposes."At least 5G Fund isn't getting any sweeteners to accelerate their investment. So it looks like Ethernity wasn't desperate for the cash, ie running out. So does imply they want the money for growth next few months.

Trust between the company and its shareholders is important.... these BS opaque RNS's with no accurate info on the share price are really fuc*ing annoying.

For the sake of clarity, just how hard is it to include that information?

I was just expecting a little more on progress that's all. Pace is fine and needed. This needs a push.

The FCC wants to talk about Open RAN

hxxps://www.rcrwireless.com/20210224/policy/the-fcc-wants-to-talk-about-open-ran

“The conversation and the overall attitude towards Open RAN has clearly changed over the past six months,” said Stefan Pongratz, VP and analyst with the Dell’Oro Group. “It is no longer a question if Open RAN will happen, and the question now is more on the timing and the scope.”

The forecast estimates that Open RAN will account for more than 10% of the overall Radio Access Network market by 2025, which Dell’Oro said was reflective of “healthy traction in multiple regions.”

HPE bustles into open RAN with new server

hxxps://www.lightreading.com/open-ran/hpe-bustles-into-open-ran-with-new-server/d/d-id/767648?

HPE has also been carrying out interoperability testing with other vendors, including those working on radio-processing functions for the central and distributed units in the RAN. "We are offering open platforms that will run whatever is the appropriate container or choice of container technology," said Pedersen.

Because the latest ProLiant uses the FlexRAN architecture developed by Intel, a related question is whether reliance on the chip giant's platform could also be a constraint. "It is more open than that at that level," said Pedersen. "Some of our big partners may be putting in their own PCI cards with accelerators for radio processing. In that sense it is a standard platform. There is nothing that makes it Intel-specific."

I can only imagine there will be similar announcements from competing server manufacturers in due course.

Hi all....I added my second tranche today. I am looking for a very positive update and then a resulting next purchase. I buy an initial stake and then add every time the last tranche goes blue.

Much like with AGL and ITX the global applications of this company are enormous. Worth the risk IMO.

Good hunting all.

TU was 24th Feb last year so, assuming they're going to do a TU, it should be soon.Agree, this is an important update as we get ever closer to mass deployment of 5G.The omens look good. The TU early December talked about strong momentum in revenue growth for 2H 2020. Forecasts are for $2m t/o, hardly set the world on fire stuff but nevertheless should show 50% uplift on the 2019 figures. The same December update talked about they can see 60% of 2021 forecast already achievable. The forecast is for $6m this year. Considering ENET have yet to sell any serious quantity of ACE NIC then the forecasts could look conservative if orders start to roll in re 5G.The recent news re DU and server providers was very positive so my overall impression is of a company with very positive business momentum.Right place, right time, right products. Primed and ready to go!

Think 5G is going to garner some serious publicity this year and ENET will do incredibly well.Don’t think it will stay quiet for too long

Agreed! 5G is a certainty, it is going to be massive for all industries and enable services and use cases people are not currently thinking of as discussed in the 2019 article below.

Qualcomm CEO: Without a 5G strategy, ‘You’re going to be left behind’

ENET's capabilities and products enable the core of what makes 5G compelling i.e. ultra low latency, something that will stay in demand even when 5G is superseded by the next big thing!

Puts it in perspective when you have a company selling off a market cap of £18m with world beating tech, growing revenues, deals and trials with major co's, patented positions, cash in the bank etc etc.Yet £18m is but the blink of an eye toblockchain bitcoin cbd plc!Think 5G is going to garner some serious publicity this year and ENET will do incredibly well.Don't think it will stay quiet for too long!

BTW, I only just realised there was already an active thread by gersemi... Turned out gersemi was on my filter list (can't remember why!) so his thread was hidden from me! I probably wouldn't have started a new thread had I seen that one but again the extra charts and header info is nice to have.

Amazing really this news was delivered by a RNS NONEthernity Networks Delivers ACE-NIC100 to Major Server VendorsEthernity Networks (AIM: ENET.L), a leading supplier of data processing offload solutions on programmable FPGA (field programmable gate array) hardware for accelerating telco/cloud networks, announces today that, following requests received from three Tier-1 server vendors, it has delivered its 5G Distribution Unit (DU) FPGA implementation on top of its ACE-NIC100 FPGA SmartNIC for telco OpenRAN trials. It looks like this could be a massive market for ENET going by thishttps://ethernitynet.com/market-for-dus-in-openran/'What is especially interesting from Ethernity's perspective is the sheer size of the market for DUs as the OpenRAN develops.'ENET looks to me like it could be on the cusp of something rather special.Amazing thing is market cap is still sub £20mAll imoGLA
