19/5/2021 20:49 | You also need working capital for feeds, stockpiles and preprocessing and some heavy machinery to handle the materials. If the holding company goes bust those important elements often disappear and make projects fail because there is no cashflow. | davidblack
19/5/2021 12:27 | Movialsa has been operating since 2011 using the tech and systems supplied by the company. If they can run an operation for 10 years it shows it can be done. Where others have failed is subject to speculation because no one has intimate knowledge of any of the plants, finance, operations or people running the businesses. I suspect they have been done on a shoe string like we see at North Fork where they are struggling with the finance even at this late stage with obviously no financial resilience. | stevea171
19/5/2021 12:18 | Lot of punters heading for the exit . I think all the talk of failed plants is scaring peeps off - not good | juju44
19/5/2021 12:12 | At the end of board meetings under AOB I imagine Pallumbo saying "... just one more thing ..." There is a number of EQT plant not yet operational or which have failed or ceased operation since commissioning because the locals did not have the right technical integration expertise. So ... this is becoming binary, either EQT gets them all to work nicely or it too suffers the snagging which has dogged other waste gasification projects. | marktime1231
19/5/2021 11:29 | EQT has a 20% stake in the North Fork, California plant under construction but not complete and operational before the end of the year. This project has been ongoing for a few years now. EQT now has from nowhere conjured a 20% stake in the Castiglione d'Orcia, Italy plant that has grid connection and has been in operation in the past. Now it will be upgraded with the latest computer control systems and returned to production within a year. Once this has been achieved using wood chip and straw feed there are plans to add compatibility for other feed types which will add resilience. This plant will have full support of Eqtec's engineers based not far away in Spain and London so if operational issues crop up they can quickly be resolved. This will add to the confidence in the system and provide new operational experience that will support sales. This really is a master stroke showcasing DP's approach of collaboration with other parties and getting things done whilst some of the larger projects are subject to delays and bureaucracy not under the company's direct control. | stevea171
18/5/2021 22:08 | And of course great for marketing since prospective clients/investors can just wander down the road... | gspanner
18/5/2021 20:13 | - Recommissioning EQTEC technology. The Company is excited to announce that it is pursuing recovery of two plants built with EQTEC technology where operations were previously suspended by their owner-operators for lack of technical integration capabilities. Not only does this demonstrate the Company's commitment to ensuring its technology sustainably delivers value for communities, but it will see EQTEC lead consortia to acquire, repower, own and operate its technology in target markets such as Italy and Croatia. The two plants are expected to be acquired in 2021, with the first acquisition nearing contract completion. | stevea171 |
