Not wishing to disrupt at all . I hold many millions of these and expect great things. Just annoyed we have seen nothing of the report and find Wood dipping into the green energy arena with no mention of EQT , who I consider as another "save the planet type" . If you dislike me , just filter

Well found, this link is to a story about Wood the complex oilfield project engineer diversifying itself into new green energy markets and NEL of Norway the pioneering green hydrogen producer looking for a partner with experience in new geographic regions.

Nothing to do with EQT whatsoever, and the idea that there is a problem between Wood and EQT over some collaborative report is pure imagination. EQT some time ago bought a consulting report from Wood looking into the potential of waste gasification without ever mentioning a collaboration, although that would be nice.

EQT gasification of various types of waste to generate electric power and heat, typically on a local industrial or municipal scale, is completely unrelated to the national scale strategic production of hydrogen or biofuels which is where NEL and Wood are aiming.

These "mischevious" posts are a bit like a conjuror's mis-direction, deliberately teasing with incomplete half-truths, someone trying to create a negative narrative when there isn't one, wasting us with sidetracks. Something with the same hallmarks happened on another board, an isolated post inventing this was an issue. If I could find the filter button ...

It sounds like you're trying to muddy the water with deliberate supposition; not sure why; NEL are a significantly larger company than EQTEC with commensurately larger deals already undertaken so a less risky proposition; we also don't know how long the two parties have been discussing a potential partnership.

That's just a project development with NEL; NEL aren't a direct competitor to EQTEC as they make electrolysers. Hydrogen is not Eqtec's focus at the moment.

Who is down thumbing these posts and why?! Anyway, the GE Jenbacher engine, controller and generator is fine and the gas supply to the engine is not the problem, it is the front-end handling of the fuel feedstock which is the problem and it is one for the engineer / integrator to solve not the waste or energy operator. Happily retired thank you.

Yes, the technology is tested on 50 different feedstocks. Getting the feedstock to and through the gasifier and on to the Jenbacher CHP IC engine/s in a controlled and smooth fashion would be down to the operators but is clearly do-able.

The Jenbacher is a key part of the Eqtec solution. Designed and built in Austria for the past 50 years and sold 1,000's into the market world wide it is highly reliable, flexible and can accommodate various gas inputs.

I expect the Shepperton and Hull problems using different approaches are not directly transferable to here.

It seems you have technical knowledge of operations. Do you work in the industry?

I hope you are right. My cautious instinct says that the bunkering, hoppering, masceration, augering and fluidisation of different feedstock materials requires different problem solving. Olive residue might behave easily, pulverised wood pellets and ground up tyre waste ok to handle dry, mixed residual household waste or assorted thermoplastics ... well who knows, but the engineers at Shepperton and Hull have been struggling with the problem for four years. Clearly the waste operator hoping to divert from landfill does not want to have to spend too much time and effort preparing the feedstock. Eqtec have I think tested their gasification technology for things like thermal performance and emissions on around 30 different materials, but have they solved the engineering problems of handling the feedstock.

If they have a genuinely universal and proven solution for all materials then EQT is a winner, imagining what they could achieve is exciting, open-cast mining those waste tips which feature on tv, working their way through historic landfill deposits to make good the harm we have done over the last 100 years ... the upside is huge. But I would like to know for sure that the problems of integrated material handling to deliver projects like Billingham have been solved in practice before betting my shirt.

Mark. Surely Eqtec has proven integration in the gasification plant in Spain.

EQT Movialsa, Spain.
Since 2011, the plant has clocked in over 110,000 audited operating hours through its 3 GE Jenbacher engines, fed by a single EQTEC gasifier, producing 5.9 MWe of electricity and 6.6 MWt of steam – all from “difficultR21; to process olive pomace waste. This means not only is the plant successful, it is also the oldest and largest commercial scale gasification plant in this industry.

That is an interesting comment "lack of technical integration capabilities", a problem which has hampered two EfW gasifier projects in the UK, the EcoPark at Shepperton and EnergyWorks at Hull. The components of the systems are all proven, but automating the feedstock handling to run a safe steady commercial operation is a real hassle. If EQT can genuinely solve these problems it will be a great opportunity to step in and take over schemes where others have failed. It does not inspire confidence in PHE which has yet to prove itself at Protos Park and has the added complication of extracting fuel-grade hydrogen. So - if EQT does genuinely have the know-how to make gasification work, and if it can get a major partner on board at Billingham - buy EQT and sell PHE. The million dollar question then is can we believe EQT can deliver?

The 2 plants to be recommissioned with Eqtec leading a consortia to acquire, repower and operate are in Italy and Croatia. So this is further evidence that an announcement will be coming soon that the Belisce, Croatia plant has been acquired by Eqtec's consortia and will be in production soon.

Although a small plant it will give the company a huge boost in the market place to be operating their own plant as another show case for the Eqtec technology.

Progress on the other plant to be recommissioned in Italy to follow.

31/3. Canaccord initiates coverage on Eqtec at 'speculative buy'.
Price target of 3.25p.

Arden note 2 weeks ago with price target 2.8p. 'Buy'.

Now Align Research: 3.115p. 'Conviction Buy'.

3p+ seems likely as news from EQT floods in in the coming weeks and months.
