Sure enough - didn't see it as an RNS but it was tucked away in the finals on 6th July:

Annual General Meeting
The Company's Annual General Meeting will be held on 21 September 2022 at 12:00 noon at the offices of finnCap, 1 Bartholomew Close, London, EC1A 7BL.

Well...I won't be able to attend but I'd really appreciate if you could share anything of note.....if anything of note transpires.

I'm hoping for (rather than expecting) a 7am AGM statement RNS saying that they've now started (if not successfully completed) a SABER live directional drilling test, but who knows? Not all that long left in calendar 2022 if they're still aiming for revenue this year.

Wondering also if they are thinking about restrictions on exports for tech from US to China? UK may make more sense from that perspective. Management would be foolish to draw attention to that though so we probably shouldn't ask in a call.

Looking through the site online you can see the mwd manufacturing only takes up a small area in one warehouse. They could easily rent somewhere in Texas either within a multi company facility or a smaller site. They may manufacture in the UK but have a sales office in the US perhaps. We'll have to see.

1gw, save lumbering them with excess fixed cost and headcount.

Also, if they come to sell the company, any acquirer would also have their own manufacture. An acquirer will want the product, customers & IP, not a commercial site they already have.

Yes, very possibly p1nkfish - testing and development at the UK facility and sub-contract manufacturing distributed near to customers. If they are going that route with SABER then it perhaps makes sense to do it with their traditional lines as well.

This is just the sort of conduct you'd expect to see from a company whose directors take their pay in actual shares. If you structure incentives in that way, it's hardly surprising that they try to wring every last bit of juice out of the capital available to them.

Sub-contract manufacture?

Interesting. Something to ask about next week in order to get the context. I would be surprised if they abandon US manufacturing for their MWD tools, but perhaps they have decided this is the time to move to new facilities that are more appropriate for the overall requirements and anticipated future scale of MWD and RSS (SABER) tool manufacture.

Good spot ValueHurts! They've previously said that they think the 6 acres in Houston are worth $2.3m. It's being sold with 0 occupancy, so not a sale and leaseback. Wonder whether NTQ is holding some land back - they said they had 6 acres and the sale is of 5 acres.

Looking at nearby properties on the estate rent looks to be about £40k a year.

Hopefully they get over $2m for it. It's a good sign as it would seem they would be using the funds to build out a Saber fleet. Shows they have conviction that the tool will be popular. They have enough cash to finish development so this would be the only place I can think of where they would need this type of funds. Better than diluting us long suffering shareholders.

Good to see the late tick up on Friday, and now a small buyer has paid 15.38p.

Perhaps an overhang has cleared.

There's a good tailwind. Just need the full SABER release, the wait is no longer funny. Over time Russian output will fall as the skill-sets needed to maintain it, and the tech, have been withdrawn. Irrespective of the lack of shipments to the west, that Russian capacity will need to be replaced anyway.

Halliburton, Schlumberger etc are all out of Russia.

UK has enough energy if the politicians decide to allow access to it. It could do the balance of payments a favour too.
