I'm afraid people are that stupid. And are also stupid enough to think they can demonstrate they are cleverer than others. In this case, a quick look at the maths (forget the previous flawed understanding), demonstrates maths might not have featured very highly in his education...

Amont holds 1 share. Amont therefore holds 50%
Eme issue 8more shares. Total 10shares
Amount doesn't sell a dime or give them away and still holds 1 share.

28th January - They held 184 million shares - ignore percentages
5th February - They held 147 million shares - ignore percentages
When I went to school 184million-147million equalled 37million.
If they did not sell them, they must have given them away.

Erm...they had 185m and now have 147m. It doesn't matter what the total in issue is, or what 147m equates to as a percentage - THEY HAVE REDUCED THE NUMBER OF SHARES. |
They issued more shares therefore holding reduce accordingly.
For example, spacedust plc has 10 shares in issue. And Joe blogs owns 5 shares therefore he has 50% shares. Spacedust plc issues 40 additional shares to the market then hie blogs 50% stake is reduced to 10% |
