14/11/2017 07:50 | Which part of " The well's lowest zone, a thin sand with poor reservoir characteristics based on the wireline logs, has been perforated and has flowed clean, dry natural gas and no water." don't you like. | rutter

14/11/2017 07:46 | didn't someone say that this area has been drilled and tested to death in the past and never came up commercial. | deanroberthunt
14/11/2017 07:45 | Football analogy- we are 1-0 down in the first 10mins of game against the run of play but with 80 mins still to go. Not ideal BUT a long way still to go.... | bobby1904
14/11/2017 07:39 | 17-18p opening - top up time - agreed that this zone was never intended to be a winner albeit good news re dry gas flow | wayney

14/11/2017 07:38 | Not that it matters in the medium term, but the RNS could have been worded better. I would have emphasised that the flowing of dry gas to surface bodes well for the operational success in flowing gas to surface in those zones prognosed to have commercial quantities of gas. Still, I don’t suppose it’s the company’s responsibility to worry about over leveraged spread betters. Buffy | buffythebuffoon
14/11/2017 07:37 | Tin hat day for sure. Funds going into JOG from here to recoup losses. | timw3
14/11/2017 07:35 | Tin hats day, this will tank unfortunately :-( | enewman36
14/11/2017 07:34 | From today’s SGC release - even though the lower zone is uncommercial, the picture of the flare stack in that report looks quite impressive - that’s a big flare! | kevjames

14/11/2017 07:27 | If there is a sell off, people should rememember we still have China and Duyung. Personally, I think this news is pretty positive, they never flown gas from this position in 2001 or during re working in 2002 (when targeting the Forbes zones.) So to flow dry gas from a known poor zone from a much deeper level is pretty impressive. I for sure will be a buyer on any big dip. Still lots to play for here, the likely productive zones are still to test. GLA. | kevjames

14/11/2017 07:19 | Let's see what our RNS says first to see how this might play out today. | oilforex
14/11/2017 07:13 | The only way they can restore confidence now is find a perforation hole that flows commercially ASAP. Otherwise, there will be a constant trickle of sellers. There are a large number of holders on here who are in since it was in single figures and they are not going to stand ideally by and watch their profits diminish on a daily basis. There could be massive selling today as the LTHs go in to cash until the commercial gas flow is attained at which point there will be a rush to get back in again IF there is commercial gas found that is! | harrissen
14/11/2017 07:08 | Wonderful top up opportunity. Pre-Xmas sale 20% off. They have delivered an intact well ✅ There is dry flowing gas ✅ The lowermost thin level is sub commercial at current prices ✅ They will now test the multiple remaining targets ✅ A lot achieved, positive future RNS highly likely ✅ | honestmarty
14/11/2017 07:02 | The trouble is that the information is price sensitive, so it's correct that it should be released, but it will be used to mark the price down when in fact the implications are very good for the higher zones. It would have been better if the results of a couple more zones could have been achieved before updating the market, but, oh well, I'll root around for some more pennies down then back of the sofa.Be interesting to see what comment EME put on this. | terry hardacre
14/11/2017 06:47 | tidy 2 I'm thused :-) Very encouraging. Sellers could be regretting their actions at the end of this trading week. GLA | rutter
14/11/2017 06:33 | Phew! Well I for one am relieved! My biggest fear here was integrity of the well, problems with the heavy mud etc but all seems ok with this. Pros : Dry gas flowed to surface naturally with no stimulation. No water Zone had poor reservoir characteristics but still flowed. Zone temporary plugged so can be reopened to add to other zone flows. Better sandstone zones yet to be tested. The shallow zones are known to flow and will cover costs of the drill. Cons : Flow is not commercial at current rates. Bodes well for the next zone imho. MM and traders and trolls will play this like a fiddle but overall I am upbeat that the well integrity rumours appear to be BS! GL. | cliveas |
