14 November 2017Dempsey Gas Zone Testing Update? Testing of the lowermost zone in the Dempsey-1 gas discovery well has been completed with dry gas flowing to surface.? The basal zone tested is thin and wireline log data indicated poor reservoir quality at this location.? Following perforation, the zone flowed naturally, without stimulation, dry gas to surface and no water. The rates achieved are sub-commercial at current gas prices. If you read John Beggs observation at the end of the RNS I'd suggest absolutely as per the wire line logs, result not a surprise, the zone flowed without stimulation, good pressure and no water. Quite literally now, ' Onwards and upwards ' therefore.

SGC's own RNS is now out (as opposed to the PCL one). I think clear heads will just have to prevail and it's a case of continuing to wait until they get to testing the better zones. Frustrating but a million mikes from being a problem...

Mixed news. First zone was a thin layer and it flowed so that's positive bit but not at a commercial rate. The next layers are thicker so next RNS will be key.

I am not particularly concerned. I simply assumed that , as the share price was down for today, then they were "worked through" sells. Happy to be wrong as always.

Rutter, At 22.0715 for 350k and 21.50 for 240k, they could have just as easily been buys as sells. Buys went through at 21.23p so I don't know why you thought that no-one could buy at that price.

However, judging by the price action during the day, it could well be that the 350k was a buy and the 240k a sell.

As Terry says, means nothing.

Those trades are from Thursday and Friday last week, I think someone has been selling for a while now and hence the downward trend.A large holder would need to declare so we may see soon, am I concerned well no more than waiting for results.

Yes they may well be sells Rutter; it happens occasionally on the stock market. "Logic" would also tell me that the value of these transactions suggests these trades were made by retail investors, who we have no reason to believe should know anything more about what's going on than the rest of us, but are just as susceptible to managing their risk profile as anyone.In other words, yet again, nothing from the trading activity tells us anything either way, imo.
