I'm happy with the progress, it will multi zone flow if not from a independent zone. Multi zone flowing is a normal process for commercial production. The question is how cheap will we be able to top up today.

This is basically what I expected from the lowest volcanic zone.

This from Agent m on XST thread on hotcopper.

well one zone that no one was interested in terribly much is done, the bottom volcanic/shale zone

not really a material announcement as this zone imho was never a significant factor to anyone. probably the bottom ranked zone by all partners in reality

they can now move up the hole to the next zone, sandstones i believe, and finally test a zone that is significant

I'm not enthused to say the least. Leave it at that.

John Begg, CEO of Pancontinental said:
"This has been a very ambitious well with numerous gas reservoir targets to evaluate. The fact we got a clean, natural gas flow to surface from this thin bottom zone that didn’t exhibit clear reservoir properties on wireline logs and after drilling it with heavy weight mud is, frankly, encouraging. We are looking forward to the next stage of testing”.

Pan Continental update
14/11/2017

Panic over, it is a temporary plug I missed this bit in the update:-

"The tested zone has been isolated by a temporary plug and preparations are underway to test the next, shallower zone of gas shows.
More information will be released as the test program progresses."

So I guess if they find another sub commercial flow they can unplug the first one and increase the total flow to commercial level. If all six flow small amounts between them we should have a commercial flow which would be a huge success and make EME a producer. Who knows the monster reservoir may be nearer the top than anticipated. All very much to play for imo.

Yes, but if this is a bridge plug it is retrievable later after testing of the further zones.

Pan Continental's update says lower perforation has been plugged - not good news.

The thin bottom zone didn’t exhibit clear reservoir characteristics on wireline logs, yet still they managed to bring a clean natural gas flow to surface.

It’s looking very good.

Perforations should continue at speed from here on up. Any improvement on today's flow will make it commercial. The quality of the gas produced on the first perforation is Grade 1 there just isn't enough of it. Still all to play for imo.

Announcement to ASX 14th November 2017
Dempsey Gas Well Testing Update
Sacgasco Limited (ASX: SGC) advises that completion of and flow-testing the Dempsey 1-15 well is continuing as planned.
The lowermost zone, in the well, a thin sand with poor reservoir characteristics based on the wireline logs, has been perforated and has flowed clean, dry natural gas and no water, at rates that are sub-commercial at current gas market prices. Analysis of the full potential of this zone is still at an early stage.
The tested zone has been isolated, and preparations are underway to test the next shallower zone of gas shows

I'd agree with your comments Bushman 100%. They'll mark it down to pick up a load of stops of course, but I'd expect some strong buying. An early Black Friday sale by all accounts on basically expected news for the lowest zone, given the log results. From here on in the chance of fireworks increases each day.

Probably a big mark down tomorrow and overreaction on AIM. Tempted to buy more on the dip. Next zone test should only take a few days.
