Not sure I follow the logic in huge EMIS drop , even if workforce drops , the system must still run, and will be a priority to support. Primary care cannot work without it .

I guess the only good thing here is that Emis has not dropped as much of most of my others. I would have thought this was a pretty defensive stock.

Just suffered an hour of complete EMIS failure , I believe it was national; a reminder of how important stable IT systems are. We were effectively paralysed ; could see no notes , didn't know who was coming, couldn't record data. The drawbacks of IT.Not sure if any other providers better or worse.

They have been saying "in line with directors expectations" here for years.

This stock is not much covered by analysts anyway (3 from memory i think) so it is hard to match market expectations other than your own when the market essentially has no view

Just noticed yesterday's trading update." In line with Directors expectations" always strikes me as subtly different to "in line with market expectations"
It is the same wording as previous updates , so I am reading too much.

Really feels like there is serious demand behind the scenes. the fact they will have £50m in cash by the end of this year is just ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS DARHLIN, £30 is my target

The Group has a strong balance sheet with net cash of £31.1m as at 31 December 2019 (31 December 2018: £15.6m).

Looks like it is FTSE250 material or is it in already?

If you view it as a mature cash generative company the P/E of 32 doesn't exactly scream buy. If you view it as R&D then maybe .

Price is playing catch up with events since 2016

Company has grown (eps/divs/profs) since 2016 but the price has only gone sideways.

Looking cheap compared to UK computer services/software peers as well

Emis does what it does very well and is it's business is embedded in GP practice.

Emis not widely known nor appreciated really; and compared to Kainos cheap.

I am happy to say I have both..

The shares trade on a PE of half that of Kainos, despite better quality earnings.
