look BW (and I) were not in the Trafugura camp , for many reasons . But , Trafigura are now very much part of the ensemble . EMEd management has changed and had to accept as other key shareholders. Trafigura has had to accept others. So we move forward. Despite different initial goals / interest everyone / everybody better with mine open . So that is it ... little point digging up past hatred .

in fact BW has ALWAYS said that EMED/Matsa (Trafigura) likely to work together. In fact they are the same people (former RIO workers) and relationship is close.

Its whether we waste time on what Trafigura + cronies have done in the past .... and no point now. Trafigura are at the table , in theory as good team players now. So lets move forward.

Why bother digging old stuff up now . Why ? Why bother. We move forward. Trafigura had success. They may have not got in the initial route they wanted, but now they are part of us.

We move forward.

HAA missed just about every deadline RNS'd
IQ missed the year end date RNS'd for permitting/financing.
AL has now RNS'd in Jan, and quoted in the press (tbc) 1st/2nd week of Jan.

Given the BOD's record of misses so far, and knowing that the Junta have already extended the 6 month window to end of Feb for IGME/CEDEX, I would suggest to stick your neck out and say 'in January' you either need to be (a) very confident with a good reason or (b) very stupid to set yourself up for a fall.

I'm surprised bookworm1 hasn't sold out considering how wrong he has been about Trafigura and how much he dislikes them . . . Especially now they appear to be in cahoots with his beloved "cornerstone investors" who were supposed to save us from this nasty corporate behemoth . . .

@frog BW is alive and well . He sees no point barking on the boards (and I agree) . Nothing has changed : EMED has been subjected to much interference. However, the landscape has now changed. We can't fight about it anymore. Right or wrong old people have gone new people and investors are in. The games are over. EMED now moves forward under slightly different colours, but it moves forward. There is little point for BW to dig up old stuff on battles that have taken place. Things have changed ... all sides have had to compromise, the cost has been delay, dilution, employment ... nothingness ... but we are where we are now and new people are not hampered by the past.

The boss bought a million shares @ 7p with his own money that instills confidence in me that this man believes in Emed(new name to be announced and about time) as a copper miner. He is also under water like many of us with his hard earned cash. I like this ceo; I believe he will deliver, he knows the Spanish system and comes across as sincere. I think Emed is in a safe pair of hands, and it seem the II's think this also as he is still in the Job...lets see how this plays out but i do see a share price re-rate soon!

IMO

Junta have been told by cedex everything is fine
Junta are awaiting receipt of the report
Emed given the heads up, but told to wait for junta fanfare.


EDIT -------

Keep an eye out for any junta led visits to PRT in the next two weeks. That should be the indicator, along with a sudden hike in volumes.
Im sure van will be telling us the day before anyway ;)

.... because they are probably back with the Junta and subject to ongoing discussion with Emed, and therefore completion date is predictable.

I had understood that the Junta is awaiting a central government regulatory body to state that there is no significant risks associated with awarding the mining permit to EMED. A body over which the Junta has no control. A body for which there is no regulatory time limit for a response.

Does anyone know why the latest EMED estimate for the issue of the mining permit in January 2015 can be relied upon any more than any of the other estimates which EMED has released in the previous 7 years?

I am thinking that by 16/1/15 or at the very latest 23/1/15 the RP and MP permits will be announced, most probably by the Junta, quickly followed by the finance details from the Company.
