So are we likely to see the start of many intra-day auctions on Monday? On the wider FTSE 100 front I have not seen so many price monitoring extensions since 2008!

The whole of Europe seems to be closing down.

Denmark is soon due to close its land boarders.

Poland and the Czech Republic to now allow entry to any but their own citizens, not even other EU citizens will be allowed to enter.

Venezuela has just reported its first cases of the coronavirus.

For instance, there are STILL punters blindly buying EZJ, even now. They have been warned countless times, but they won't listen. Darwin's theory..

Many people are in denial, and in the airline industry, blind panic. Costly mistakes will continue to prevail.

I do not understand what the UK airlines are playing at. If I was in their shoes as from Friday mid-night I would have stopped all flights to Spain instead airlines have spent precious money they need to preserved sending flights to Spain to only have them be turned back.

I thought sub 500p last week was the worst case scenario. 50p now. No passengers means no money. I know no one flying over Easter

Jet2 cancel all flights to Spain: Planes turning back to UK after coronavirus shutdown.

Seven flights heading to Spain from the UK this morning were made to turn back before they could land.

It is a mathematical certainty. If EZJ does not soon have a massive uptick in passenger numbers, the share price is destined for the penny share department, never mind 1 pound!

Sadly at the end of the day I can easily see the share price collapsing to 100p.

32 and of course we all know the reason. Without a load factor/average seat price metric exceeding the cost to an airline company parking a Boeing 737 the company will....park a Boeing 737.

In many respects the airline business ‘from a business point of view’ is one of the simpler ones, hence why easyJet took on Carolyn to make themselves look good knowing very well that the aircraft leasing specialists were in fact the real deal. Everything else is froth.

The BBC reports there are "close to zero" number of passengers at Edinburgh Airport, a situation expected to last several months!

Obviously therefore, 'close to zero' is where the share price can reasonably be expected to fall to.

Ryanair to cancel up to 40% of all flights from Monday. This is an existential threat to all airlines

"We went over to the Ryanair desk to ask what was happening but no-one was saying anything and they wouldn't give us any information.

The worst thing about it is one of the Ryanair staff members turned round to us and asked, 'what's the FCO?'."
