"The Bulls rule the roost here, lovely."

looks like your roost got swiftly roasted, ransacked and wrecked.

19p down yesterday.
29p down so far today.

That makes negative 48p in 26hours.

Not good.

Yesterday's increase in interest rates will impact disposable incomes. Especially for those in the lower income brackets who have hitherto recently gorged handsomely on give-away £20 return tickets to Euro-land.

The SURGING price of oil will hit aviation fuel prices sharply and further impact margins negatively which have already been cut to the bone by the savage Price War.

Surging oil prices and rising interest rates will have a significant deleterious impact.

Not good for the sector profitability.

ALL IMO. DYOR.

Latest passenger load stats for October due out next week should see them running for the hills again.

However, I will take pity on you.

Hermione, you were doing OK until the second paragraph of that post. I thought you were concerned enough to point me in the right direction with this dental procedure, but then you go on about me gumming food, having no gravitas, and being generally porky.
This just won't do. I've got you down as a caring sort of individual. I mean you've been trying to point all these EZJ holders in the right direction for months, but they just won't listen, no matter how hard you try.
Some people eh?
Still, I'm really hurt about the porky jibe. Gratuitously offensive. If you were an MP I'd be demanding your resignation.
I've got to sign off now, and I won't be back until after I've seen the Dentist tomorrow. Be nice to people while I'm gone. It'll make you feel good, I promise.

Jabba.

Albany, the increase in base rates is two tenths of sod all.

If it were going up to 15% like it did the day I signed for our new house on Black Wednesday in September 1992 then I'd be worried :-)

If people have planned out their monthly spending based on the interest rates being under one or two percent for the next five years then they are stupid.

implants can be incredibly painful. big screws bolted into the bone of your jaw. possibility of major infections. load of quack dentists out there who don't know what they are doing. frequently colours don't match. they use the wrong type of implant. or the wrong metal implants.

why don't you just keep on gumming your food to death.

i guess you mostly eat squidgy stuff anyway.

You. gravitas???? ha ha ha .

the only weight you carry, Jabba, is round the midriff...

OK, I'll live with Jabba if I can't have Obi Wan. Grandad is still OK though, as it carries a certain degree of gravitas, which is much needed on this thread.
Got to make up my mind about the implants tomorrow. My Dentist (who is regulated by the BDA) has to remove a bridge to perform some treatment or other. He is recommending implants rather than renewing the bridge.
Any thoughts on what I should do? These implants cost thousands, and the older you are the less return you get on your capital investment.
I really need some advice. What would the boys at Liberum do?

Only thing worrying me at the moment is the likelihood of a sell off across the board. Not much good news about, and if sentiment changes, this share has done well enough over the last couple of months to warrant some profit taking.
I'll not sell any paper holdings, but would continue to buy the dips on spread bets.

Voldemort - I see you were around last night. Why on earth would I have to be concerned about the FCA? I've seen some of your posts on other threads, which frankly don't interest me, but I am now thinking that "Voldemort" is too cool a name for me to use when replying to your posts on here. I think in future, "Hermione" would be more appropriate.
I don't mind being called "grandad" if it's in keeping with your image of me, but I'd prefer "Obi Wan". Any chance?

Anyone noticed how Grandad gets very twitchy whenever the far-reaching powers of The FCA are mentioned.

"Slobs bought at 1950 and was/is in such dire straits that he was promulgating false takeover rumours for a FTSE 100 company in strict contravention of FCA regulations.

Funny how he and his ilk have stopped doing that..... since those illegal practices have been highlighted on this thread."

Probably time to lay that ghost. You can only contravene FCA regulations if you are actually regulated by the FCA.
