31/10/2017 12:52 | Yes, it may have safe-guarded right to fly. However, as far as Brussels is concerned it will still be a foreign/UK airline due to its ownership structure. Unlike Ryan which was,is and will continue to be a domestic EEC airline. That's a significant difference. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa

31/10/2017 10:53 | Massive oversupply of seats still haunts market. Combined with an increasingly likely Brexit hard-landing, a stormy place to be. As an example, anyone notice just how rapidly the long-in-the-baking LSE-Deutsche Boerse merger went flat and unravelled within just weeks of the Referendum . Do you think that was just coincidence?? In my opinion, Brussels wants to use Brexit as a way of grabbing as much business as it can away from the UK and to bring it onshore to mainland Europe. Question. 1. All the cross-border EEC businesses and sectors which used to be handled/spear-headed so freely in the UK. -Do you think it is in Brussels' vested interest to keep those businesses in the UK -Or do you think it is in Brussels' vested interest to repatriate as much of those businesses as they possibly can back to mainland Europe. 2. If you are the EEC, do you really want any foreign/non-EEC countries to continue being the key linch-pin in your various industrial, non-industrial and service sectors? Or would it be in your interests to make sure that it is EEC member countries which are the new linchpins for those businesses and sectors? 3. Sure, the EEC will want to sell to the UK. - But if anyone believes that the EEC will want a non-member country to spearhead its various sectors which are of vital economic and financial importance, you need to take a reality check. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
31/10/2017 10:27 | Margin calls for shorters, they are desperate. With 3 rivals going bust and Ryanair shutting down flights, Easyjet should do well. | che7win
31/10/2017 10:27 | The deal will be a blow for rival Ryanair, which decided not to bid for parts of Air Berlin because of what it claimed was a "stitch up" due to its view the process was not transparent and would undoubtedly lead to German airline Lufthansa succeeding in its bid for parts of its low-cost rival. The Irish carrier also withdrew its interest in Alitalia after an error with its pilot rota meant it had to cancel 2,100 flights during September and October. The mistake arose as it had to fit all of its pilots' holiday allowance within a nine-month period to enable its holiday year to mimic the calendar rather than the financial year, due to new regulations.Ryanair then cancelled a further 18,000 flights for the winter season, affecting 400,000 bookings. | calabrian
31/10/2017 10:24 | Insanity......the act of repeating yourself with no change in outcome. | calabrian

31/10/2017 08:56 | Are some of these posts from Russian bots trying to mess up financial debate ? | yump
31/10/2017 08:41 | A brief rise on the back of sector-champion RyanAir's great figures today. Likely short-lived and a very worrying operational environment. Major Brexit worries will continue to weigh. Management instability. Ryan goes from strength to strength and continues to trounce all competition. Liberum REITERATE SELL with TARGET PRICE of 1100p not to be ignored. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
31/10/2017 08:35 | You would have to be a brick short of a full load to remain short on EasyJet at the moment with the flow of positive news streaming in :-) | tlobs2
