how can anyone invest in airline stocks/aviation sector without checking/having knowledge of FLIGHTAWARE statistics?

isabelle is absolutely clueless about investing in the sector - she should really stick to what interests her most....

18bells, QuePassa has shown his ignorance in the past when discussing fuel hedging, supply and demand, quality value and service oh and the impact of a large number of organisations holding short positions.


He hasn't worked out yet that the more positions that need to close at some point in the future the more the share price is underpinned AND the provides the fuel for rapid rises as we have seen on the move from 850p up to 1300p when most investors made good money and banked a healthy dividend payout ;-)

how bizarre months ago we discovered Q was an airport double shift toilet cleaner hence the inside info with delays etc. And now copying other postie comments. So pathetic so lame. Alitalia has always been bust. They are perennially bust. Omnibust.It is possible that some carriers may hit difficult times soon, but what matters is which ones survive. I think Easy are likely to be a surviver. Low costs. Very well trained pilots. Economy of scale. Young aircraft. Single type.All these things are good.

STRONG DEMAND - not surprising given the PRICE WAR and the cheap fares.

The moment they start pushing up prices, demand will slump....

Over-expansion. Too many seats. Too many new planes.


Alitalia is the canary. And the canary is singing no more.
