Very good results!

Take away one-off costs and it's only circa £50m difference. Massive turn around!

"FY22 Group headline EBIT expected to be break even" Excellent!

Pre bookings look very strong for '23.

I also like the fact they are well hedged against fuel and FX,

"easyJet is well hedged with c.69% hedged for fuel in H1 of FY23 at c.$802 per metric tonne and c.44% hedged for fuel in H2 of FY23 at c.$897 per metric tonne. The spot price on 12 October 2022 was around $1,100. easyJet is currently c.78% hedged for USD in H1 of FY23 at 1.29 and c.47% hedged for USD in H2 of FY23 at 1.26. The spot price on 12 October 2022 was around 1.11. US Dollar lease payments remain hedged for the next three years."

As at 30 September 2022 easyJet had c.GBP3.6 billion of cash and money market deposits and net debt of c.GBP0.7 billion. (that is LOW debt for an airline! Probably the lowest in Europe now - and great cash position)

Considering the current share price is about 60% discounted there is easy money to be made here over 12 months... imho

Significant improvements there. Not much can be done about the FX charge - which is out of their control. Good to see the holidays business takeoff. I think more will turn to this in order to save on cost.Cash

FY22 Group headline loss before tax to be between £170 million and £190 million.

With the cost of living crisis approaching rapidly, mortgage rates going up substantially, and the £ plunging, things are going to get worse from here imo.

Thurs update should show how they fared during the summer.
The outlook will be crucial.

Hopefully my buys < 300p have been well timed.

About a dozen spare seats on my flight to Greece a few days ago.
Will see what it's like on return.

I had the exact opposite experience yesterday. Hold check in very well organised and staff helped with weighing and printing of bag tags.
Flight was full and plane was very clean.

They are not doing their customers any favours. There was a huge queue to check in hold baggage at the airport recently as people were required to print their own baggage labels which didn't work well. Also you don't seem to be able to book seats more than 30 days in advance now. Not impressed, I prefer TUI for holiday flights, their planes have more legroom seats as well.
