Aisha, I disagree as MOST who Holiday are the White Hair Pensioners who had a nice 10% increase and will holiday far more..

Travel should be fully booked for EZJ. Share price 450-500 and more with a potential takeover by BA/IAG who need the slots to handle massive demand as Inflation Drops and Triple Loch Remains.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays CEO Steve Heapy has warned agents not to gamble on having a strong January as the industry continues to face uncertainty, saying it would be ‘foolish’; to assume January 2023 will be typical. Heapy cited the war in Ukraine, the cost-of-living crisis and the explosion in Poland as reasons for global uncertainty.

Jet2’s Steve Heapy also claimed the travel industry is in for a ‘rough ride’ over the next 12 months due to increased interest rates leaving people with less disposable income to spend on holidays. Heapy said ‘I don’t agree with the action the Bank of England are taking, I think it’s the wrong thing putting interest rates up as it will push the country into a recession’.

I think people are not taking in the seriousness of the problems of cost of living will bring, such a lot of excess cash will now not be available for luxuries next 2years.Something will have to go,holidays must be in the firing line.

Funny how the naysayers have stopped posting but are still sneaking back to downvote the positive posts.

In the meantime, EZJ continues its steady recovery climb towards Results on the 29th, boosted by others in the Sector already reporting good recovery. Net cash in the bank and people still finding the cash for a holiday - perhaps at the lower EZJ, rather than premium level currently.

What's not to like?
