Ignore the cretin downvotes who follow me around the threads. No buyback for a few days so this rise is organic. If we see a drop the buybacks likely to continue. It's not a situation that lends itself to being short !

"It's been fun wasting the afternoon discussing your pointlessness ;-)"

My pointlessness has netted me many many hundreds of pounds today from DEC alone.

Perhaps you should try it?

Oh wait! You've got scrounger's subscription. ;-)

"I care about vol on the day, today and from what I can see, today."

If you only recognise volume on the day, you can't possibly determine 'low volume' without comparison to historic volume, so you have actually confirmed your post was genuinely pointless.

It's been fun wasting the afternoon discussing your pointlessness ;-)

Erm no ole chap. I care about vol on the day, today and from what I can see, today.

Historic vol is exactly that. Good to chat about, but really relevant? Meh.

You mentioned low volume so you must care about historic volumes, otherwise your statement was a pointless load of old pony!

fordtin,

Who cares about the vol back last year? Seriously.

700k was 14 million in old money, which is way above the average for Dec 18th 2022 to Dec 17th 2023.
188k (3.76 million in old money) is still significantly above that average.

"Perception changes so quickly, today’s volume is already above the average daily volume for the 12 months prior to the US listing."

Don't think so: 188k vol atm, four days ago vol was over 700k, that's well over daily volume for this year from what I can see visually.

Re “Not exactly high vol atm. BB's around £9.70 which, incidentally is gap open price.”

Perception changes so quickly, today’s volume is already above the average daily volume for the 12 months prior to the US listing.

By the way, what does "BB's around £9.70" mean?

Fordtin,

"DEC's share price seems to be in a holding pattern waiting for America to wake up and decide which direction it goes in next."

Not exactly high vol atm. BB's around £9.70 which, incidentally is gap open price.

I am not in the habit of watching the short tracker since most of my holdings are of small companies where it is not relevant.

you did not ask why the share has declined in the last 6 months you asked about the shorts which if you have watched have gone up and down as companies have increased and decreased their holdings or dont you watch the short tracker?

Agreed, early days. All the same, it feels good to see the price above my last buying price, even if it is the only one that it is above!

I assume you are new to share buying and selling so look at the link below. At 3.18% shorts DEC is just outside the top 10 shorted stocks in the UK.
